NFSU2 is my go to as well, but when NFSU1 came out at the time it was like a dream come true. And yes it holds up, almost every old game holds up, in fact surpasses modern games in terms of gameplay. All the 'polish' in the world can't make these dead inside modern games feel alive.
I couldn’t agree more! I’d rather deal with the aggressive rubber banding of UG1 than the boring gameplay of Heat or Unbound
That NFS Underground intro will be forever timeless. Hell, that same intro made me love the 2nd gen Mitsubishi Eclipse really hard back then and even today.
I still have this for my GameCube and still play it!
@@watchdogsplaythroughs9852 if you don’t have one already, I definitely recommend the RetroBit Prizim HDMI converter if your GameCube has digital out! It definitely makes my play throughs even better
I feel like the element eighty song broken promises is so underrated
Honda is the one that didn't want to be involved in pursuits, that also may be the reason why Nissan was absent from Most Wanted even though there are still assets referencing Nissan cars in the final game
Great video dude and good music choice :D
Thanks much! Music is always one of my most important focuses because to me it helps guide the cuts and timing for the video, glad you enjoyed!
Ea should remaster Underground, underground 2 and most wanted into a definitive remaster edition and sell it for like £50/£60
Would go hard. I don’t need anything changed, I understand certain licenses might be a removed like Toyota, but just up the graphics a bit and I’ll buy it
Even tho I have them for my roof so Xbox and still play them, this would give them a longer life and make me happy so
@@nathanjohnwilliamson7675 I would love to see that so badly. It’s funny though because in today’s gaming landscape I’d be beyond skeptical of how good it would be if EA announced a remake!
First of my favourite game of all time, was really advance for the time, still remeber the first time I saw it in 2004 as a 5 year old mesmerized by world graphics and cars. Hell still to this day it kept me addicted to cars.
Second thing, this video is really well made after watching it whole I checked, which youtuber is this and I saw you only have 250 subcribers and I was lost. This deserves much much more views. Really quality content, keep up the good work. Probably one of the better documentary game series about NFSU I saw.
Hope you make series based on UG2, MW, Carbon and ProStreet those game really marked the early 2000s era of racing.
Also If you have ever played NFS World it would be interesting story and also game is still playable on SoapBox World servers with more then 100 ppl per server.
Thank you for the kind words!
I definitely plan on hitting most of the NFS games in this series of videos, but I’ll probably spread them out with some other games to give some variety in between!
NFS World is one of those games I saw as a kid and reaaaaally wanted to play because of how cool it looked, but never had a gaming computer to play it on. I’ll have to see what it takes to get it running and give it a shot!
EA Seattle just did Motor City Online and the PC version of Hot Pursuit 2,
the first 5 NFS games were done by EA Canada
Amazing as always!!
Thank you!!
I like your use of the BT song that was in the first Fast and Furious movie (as well as the other music)
the fnf song with underground hits different just had to be there for that time great vid bro
Thanks man! When I was picking music I found that in my library and said oh yeah this is PERFECT
Great video!
When will you do UG2?
I’ve planned out the next few racing games I want to play for RETROspective and it will be the video after the next one I do! I want to try and spread out the NFS games so it doesn’t feel like it’s all I play haha
@@games_n_gears good plan, can't wait!
