It's hard for me to actually believe in first impressions.. because so far, most of first impressions i made or seen from people are mostly inaccurate as soon as we try to get to know each other.. apparently I'm quite intimidating, arrogant,cold and weird or off in some way , until we get to know each other.. most of their guesses were inaccurate, only a few bits are quite accurate.. and i admitted to them that it's the same vice versa.. they're not really what they are when i first saw em.. so basically imo, first impressions are mostly important in working field or in some kind of official settings, especially when we're interacting with people in higher position, where we don't normally get personal.. In general, most people are actually just a bunch of walking coping mechanisms on the surface until you get to know them personally to find out that we carry ourselves in certain manner for various reasons..
For the first one, it psychology likes toxicity, people are too different abd world is too diverse... You can love a person and be friends, afterall a rule of life exists where energy cannot be destroyed but can be transformed to something else, it takes a lot to change an emotion from one type to another... This thought process might be flawed but love can be taught a lot of things
