Underwater Fishing Camera records Atlantic Mackerel inside Pelagic Trawler Net

Lunar vessel the Pathway deployed CatchCam on their trawl to help them understand how the fish behave in the net and to see how the fishing gear performed. This clip show the reaction of the fish during hauling and the fish can be seen to shoal. Stress levels are low as the fish have the green pigment.

The underwater footage was filmed during hauling from the Lunar vessel, Pathway.
The Underwater Fishing Camera was deployed to help skippers understand how the Mackerel fish behaves in this pelagic trawler net and how fishing gear performs. From the underwater footage, Mackerel can be seen to shoal.
While this underwater footage was recorded in the North Sea in a pelagic trawler net, there are many more videos of the CatchCam camera in action.
