- If i'm being honest, if this video wasnt so important I would have scrapped it. A lot went wrong when this was being made, with footage corruption, microphone problems, and clips missing, but I have finished it anyway. Enjoy as I finally put Jean the Morris Minor back on the road!

I have a 1959 morris minor as my first car right now! It's a rare left hand drive model that I acquired here in the US for $500. I'm currently in the process of restoring it
Nice one! Glad you’ve got her up and running again.
I’m in awe of the arc of the wipers. I’m lucky if my moggies reach my side. 🤣
Ah thank you very much! The wipers are an improvement how they used to be, mind were incredibly slow beofre the rebuild
@@thefatfrierunleshed that's my excuse for not doing stuff around the house.
I'm in need of a rebuild.
Love your enthusiasm, good to see it back on the road
28th august was my 64th birthday.Through the 80s and90s i owned a 4 door saloon a traveller and then a 2door saloon. IGood luck to you and thanks for your entertaining videos.Great to see your joy at the end.

Mate 3 from 9 is six! But you set seven! Got to at least do that one again.
Bloody hell youre right. Ill get that changed asap. Cheers for pointing it out
It's easy done! I usually lose count and have to check them all at least twice, great vlogs keep at it. (And safe) 👍
With covid issues here in Canada too I have had to do my own haircuts.I just use the beard trimmer with the largest attachment and it is not hard to cut ones own hair. One area where lockdown has saved us money!!!
Love this car.
Love your car. Keep going!
I love the way the bonnet is shaped and the great drivers view

Good video man👏
Hi, can I ask please, how much was you’re bill for the welding work at millennium was? Loving you’re channel, kind regards
*Good to see the Moggy back on the road, do I spy timing chest gaskets hanging up there?*
Aye, got a few jobs to next episode
Around 20 minutes in you turned the crankshaft so that No. 3 valve was completely open. Then at a critical moment you were interrupted by the well-meaning neighbors. And then proceeded to adjust valve No. 7....? Shouldn't this have been No. 6 by the 'rule of nine'? Sorry to be critical but I don't think I would have used an adjustable spanner (wrench here in Massachusetts) for fear of rounding off the flats. Good video otherwise! I have a 1967 Traveller here in Ipswich, MA.
Looks like original Trafalgar Blue paint. Have you tried simple T-cut on any of the panels?
What interior parts have you already bought?
Jean was originally trafalgart blue but has since been hand painted lighter.
I have the carpet and the covers for the door cards
andrew eggleton does proper carpet sets of good quality for about 68 quid give or take a few quid.
have you got an update on the Bolton canal????
Why is the oil light flashing?
stephen bryson it's actually the brake light. A previous owner fitted it
Did it used to have a towbar? It was a legal requirement to fit a brake light confirmation light on the dash.
@@ratrodminorvan From what the previous owner knew of the car, it was because a previous owner had an issue with his leg, and kept leaving his foot on the brake pedal. This cased the brake shoes to get worn out fast so he fitted a brake light on the dash.
I find it useful, because I know the brake lights are coming on with it. If it doesnt light, i know my brake lights are not working
@@thefatfrierunleshed makes perfect sense, good idea!
By the way I'm over in Leigh if you ever need something desperately, I've loads of useful what I call spares (other might call crap) cheers Bern (spanners)!
You sometimes sound like a fan of "Sail Life" Mads. Some of your sayings can be heard on that channel too.Could be coincedence!
Not heard of that channel, but I shall check them out!
no more videos?
Im currently working on the next video. Should be out by the end of the month!
ur first gear sounds rather noisy?
It is, on the list of repairs is a rebuild of the gearbox
@@thefatfrierunleshed i miss driving my moggy lucy. she has been in bits in a resto place since before lockdown. but hopefully work is starting on her just before xmas. ur heater repair video was brilliant as thats wot i want to do to lucy, and it was very informative as not many videos on that job exist so well done, and well done for sticking at it to get jean done!
@@thefatfrierunleshed Have you checked the oil level in the gearbox? It takes 20/50 engine oil.
@@markbensted4634 Its just been changed. the levels are ok, its just really loud, has been since I have owned Jean. Doesnt jump out of gear though
@@thefatfrierunleshed I would minimise how long you use it for then, 2nd is very low, on a small downward slope you can pull away in it.
I can see areas where you have not edited, i guess the editiing annoyed you lol i hate it too.
I realised too late that there were sections I missed. I was annoyed with the video so im going to leave it as is
