Nestled just across the street from the California Highway Patrol Academy and Museum, this hotel offers a unique blend of convenience and modern design. But our stay was far from ordinary!
First, let's talk about the hotel's location. SpringHill Suites West Sacramento is perfectly situated for those interested in exploring the nearby attractions, including the California Highway Patrol Academy and Museum, which is literally a stone's throw away. Whether you're here for a quick business trip or an extended vacation, this location puts you close to everything but is a distance from downtown Sacramento.
As we entered our room, we were greeted by a stylish yet unconventional setup. The room featured a glass screen separating the desk area from the rest of the room. This design choice added a touch of modern sophistication but also felt a bit strange. It’s an interesting blend of open and private space that’s sure to spark some conversation.
However, our stay came with its own set of challenges. If you're a light sleeper, be warned: the noise from the California Highway Patrol Academy starts as early as 6 AM and continues until at least 10 PM every night. From sirens to training drills, the constant buzz can be quite the wake-up call.
Another unexpected adventure was our repeated near-miss experiences with the hotel elevator. We almost got stuck multiple times, adding an element of suspense to our stay. Thankfully, we always made it out, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re not a fan of tight spaces. Of note, one of the elevators completely broke during our stay.
Despite these quirks, SpringHill Suites offers a comfortable and stylish stay with a prime location.
