WTF all those haters commenting, this is not this youtube guy, it's Andy James pro guitar teacher and player. It's from lick library series he did with a lot of songs including Hangar 18. I took some lick library lessons from him, and yes he plays only with his 3 fingers, he plays songs differently but not incorrect.
Practice does make perfect my young padawan, I don't know what you think of when I say practice, but for me practice is, every time, you grab your guitar, an aspect of the playing has to be progressively worked at, whether it's left/right hand technique, scale training, ear training, speed etc.I personally prefer to work at my strengths rather than weaknesses first because I see faster results. The fast picking parts are played really well but it doesn't sound like you have complete control of the timing of your bends if it is so that you are trying to show how to play not for note the track from the recording. Very interesting though, a lot of parts played in different ways to what I thought they were. Helpful to people trying to work out the song.

Yes he says that he hates those senseless up and down sweeps but many of his solos have a lot of sweeping, and if you watch his right hand technique you will see that theres is no other way he´s playing that kind of stuff

I just said he should have used pull offs instead of tapping, to make it sound right, because the point of the video is to show us how Mustaine and Friedman play. bro but y don't u understand that dave is more of a rhythm player but he still plays some decent lead he is a great rhythm player and no one can disagree with that ok if he plays Chromatic scales and pentatonic scales all the time. but that doesn't means that he can't play any other scale or solo he is playing guitar for some 30-40 years and andy james's angel of darkness won't be much hard for him and ya i have already Listened to andy james's angel of darkness. and i am a fan of andy too :D

In the fast parts you he is just doing other notes on ther same scale, at hugh speed it still sounds great, but not the notes Friedman choosed (or improvised) when making the song. Im not saying I can play it better, I came here to figure out how to.
@yp8087 Actually Dave has a rep for being very meticulous and strict on how his band members play his music. If this guy was auditioning to fill in he would not make the cut. Its not a big deal though. He played the solos really well, but so can loads of others and better.

literally that VERY last note on the LAST solo was wrong. it was two frets higher :/ idk but it pissed me off because im a feggit
