When I first heard the verse played backward to reveal the satanic message (about 10 years ago now), I was shocked and heartbroken. I really loved this song at one time. This review is excellent. I made many connections on my own prior to viewing this. What I have come to conclude is that anyone who helped write this song must have been delving into black magic or anything related. All of the lyrical lines are cleverly constructed to a point that I am convinced required evil inspiration to create. The piper was never a nice story. It's quite disturbing if you think of it. If he's "calling you to join him" as the song says, you better stop listening to the tune! Having those lines with the double meaning be coherent enough played backward and forward tells me Satan must have been involved. If we are to play a song in reverse to get the real message they want us to hear, how does that principle translate to the title of the song? Does anyone see what I see?
