@@AdPhDu1 Right? I mean, it's still funny as hell, but... Were the writers high when they came up with that?? Seriously, I'd love to know how the pitch for that Shen Gon Wu went.
It's really cool that these artifacts can be combined with each other. They're polite enough to wait until you finish speaking, and they activate exactly how and when you want them to.
I can imagine the sweet baby amongus, ants in the pants, and the woozy shooter being made as jokes to Dashi. He had a personality similar to Raimundo, so a Shen gong wu being a practical joke would be right up his alley.
I really like how they used Jack. They could've made him the basic silly evil villain that loses every time and the heros always win. But Jack actually had some shining moments that were unexpected and allowed for more character and plot development to happen
Honestly, I wish Shadow of Fear had been used more. It would have been cool too see what some of other characters were afraid of, plus certain combinations For instance if someone used Shadow of Fear and Reversing Mirror, would it create something that would encourage someone?
I think since Shadow of Fear brings your nightmares to life Reversing Mirror might bring your fondest dreams to life. Also for interesting characters to use it on, imagine if for Chase Young his greatest fear was an image of the good warrior he used to be, before turning to the Heylin side.
It was never stated that Dashi created the Shen Gong Wu, if I remember correctly. Only that he used it to defeat Wuya. They could've been ancient magical artifacts from way before Dashi's era
Favorite Combo out of these, has to be The Eagle Scope, and Fountain of Hui. I know it's basic, but the drawback of using the Fountain without the Scope is what made me love that combo. And more so, when they showed it off in the show as well.
As much as I like how diverse and powerful the Shen Gon Wu are, I can't help but feel like Dashi had a supervillain phase or two when making some of them... and feel like the Wu Dai elemental armband ones are major crutches for the elemental dragons, good for learning their powers, but not good for 'mastering' them.
@@mariusconstantin6057 Plus there DOES exist the Emperor Scorpion, which controls other Wu, even ones given autonomy like Mala Mala Jong. I assume the plan was to have the scorpion on your person before unleashing the Sapphire Dragon.

The doll is actually horrifying. Second place is the jelly squid thing. Clay tho, dude she’s just your grandma. On another note, I’ve developed a theory about the Shengong Wu. It was always strange to me that Dashi was kind of the creator of them, when some are extremely dangerous, even downright evil. Like being the literal heart of a demon, trapping a demon, being an evil dragon that would take over the world, or zombify people. I’m thinking Dashi collected them 1500 years ago. Making only a few like the one that holds Sabini. And earning a new one. Like the Wudai weapons everyone gets at the end. Mystically tailored to them. For Dashi it was the Eye of Dashi. Perhaps the Spear of Guan (and its copies) are the same. And Chase never got to earn his because he turned evil. Btw I really liked the chicken and egg joke. Hope it wears off or that chicken is gonna be in a living Hell forever.
@@abduljah9355certainly explains things a bit better that it was various people’s power concentrated into the artifacts they made instead of a single person. Really makes one wonder about the kind of people that made the sapphire dragon and heart of Jong
As much as I love them, I've always felt like some of them are weird given that they are 1500+ years old. Ones like the Jet Bootsu and all of them transportation Shen Gong Wu look too futuristic to have been created way back then.
Well plenty of mythologies had advanced transportation and let’s not forget some of the other wu are just as strange some alter your body or have minds like the sapphire dragon so a few transport wu aren’t that strange
I can't help but notice a couple of them missing - mainly the Eaglescope (in solo use & use with the Foundation of Wui), plus the Yang Yo-Yo (solo use by Kimiko, even though it functions like the Ying counterpart), and the Shimu Staff (Omi's Wudai Wu). Otherwise, excellent job, Everywhere Man. This brings back plenty of childhood nostalgia. Perhaps it'd be cool to see a compilation of the Reversing Mirror in use (even when not used against other Wu) next.
Ruby of Ramses, Heart of Jong, Tunnel Armadillo, Crouching Courgar, Moonstone Locust, Sphere of Yun, Black Beetle, Wushan Geyser, Rio Reverso, Shadow Slicer, and Mikado Arm would be the kind of Shen Gong Wu that I could use which would come handy or be use for some fun.

The Woozy Shooter it's the most funniest Shen Gong Wu. When activated the user fires a Purple Haze that makes people not only confused but it makes act goofy (like game show contestants as dojo put it)
Sadly is not as used as it is promoted. Like it can take you where ever you desire, finding wu first would've been easier for both sides, besides this I don't see it as powerful as many others wu
Juju Flytrap was a great one for distraction but Ants in the Pants was just for joking purposes. For transportation, i swear Cannon Blaster and Shen Ga Roo either made wanna throw up or bend the laws of physic. The first season had collectively the best Wu while the second gave more variety, the third though were questionable. Favorites are Eye of Dashi, Tangle Web Comb, Golden Tiger Claws, Shard of Lighting, Silver Manta Ray, Mantis Flip Coin, Sands of Time, Orb of Tornami and Jetbootsu.
Gotta hand it to them for trying to not have any Shen Gong Wu become obsolete by adding one that’s basically the same but better. Unfortunately it’s only a matter of time before you see it happen. An example of when it does happen would be when the Mikado Arm is basically a better Fist Of Tebi Gong. Another would be the Monsoon Sandles being a worse Lotus Twister.
