- Michael Cleveland and Friends performing live at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, Louisville KY 3/23/2023 (incomplete). Recorded with cell phone, "Facebook Live" footage. For some reason (I'm not sure why) the audio/video goes out-of-sync in a couple places.

So many people walking by don’t realize the greatness they are lucky enough to be witnessing!
I certainly would have recognized his talent and skills -- but then, I was fated to become a musician myself - lol. Music just does it for me -- and has since I was a child learning “Do Your Ears Hang Low.”❤
This is an amazing concert! Thank you for posting it. I actually the think the acoustic sound is even better than when it is amplified.
Michael’s fiddle tone is EVEN better than usual in your video. TY, TY, TY!! ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
Seriously. That is the real deal. Big as it gets. Holy crap.
So true!
So awesome that Michael would come back to the town that means so much to him and just play for the folks coming and going in Louisville.
LOVE hearing Mike sing lead!
Yes! Wow!❤
Just found Michael after The NY Times article a couple of weeks ago and I’m loving everything he does! Thanks for sharing this.
Incredible..., is a genius.
Why am I surprised that as unbelievably skilled as MC is on the fiddle, it’s equally so with his guitar playing? And singing lead! FABULOSO!
He plays banjo very well too!
@@mitchzeitz DANG!!
And mandolin too...
@@mitchzeitz Darn multi-instrumentalists!
Just so happens I was flying to DFW from Louisville during Derby weekend and I got to listening to Michael and group and missed my flight! Lol.... I was supposed to be home by 6pm and didn't get home til 2am but it was worth it! Lol...Well, now it is!
Dang Mike!! I dind't even know you could sing and here you are killing it. Dude! Seriously. I know it wouldn't be the greatest thing in the world to try to sing and play fiddle at the same time but y'all have got to do more tunes where you're singing. Great job!
Rarely see Michael singing, or playing guitar. Naturally he's fantastic at both!
Wait! I was just focused on your singing before but then I see that you're not just up there stroking out chords, you play that dang thing as well as you do the fiddle! Unreal! You are a very blessed and talented man, Michael. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us.
I didn’t even think that Michael still sings and plays the guitar! I always saw him only as a brilliant improviser on the violin.
Wow, I never knew Mike played guitar. So talented
I used to hear my Dad and his friends play this tune. Michael and these others are magic!
i woulda missed my flight for sure
You guys are awesome, Is there anything that Michael can't play??
Great Performance of the Bluegrass Music Genius Michael Cleveland, great Guitar and Fiddle picking of Michael, a great Nathan Livers on Mandolin, and also great Banjo picking. I only wonder very much, how can the People walking around not stopping by and enjoining this great Music? Anywaym I enjoin it very, very much. Thanks Guys, great Job!
Why didn't you name the banjo player? This is a close friend or relative of Michael, as far as I understand from old concert recordings. He disappeared for several years. I was very upset - they were a brilliant tandem. And then suddenly I get a link to this concert on CZcams! They are together again! I'm happy!
So, it's goid, that you mentioned about the Banjo player. Maybe you could also add his Name.
@@user-bh7fj7hq8u I would definitely add his name if I knew him.
I would totally miss my flight to watch this!
PS The banjo player is Glenn Gibson!
Michael taking us to the stars! AGAIN… THX SO MUCH from Paris France
These guys are great! So talented!😊
I love these guys!😊
Sounds great but it really makes you appreciate a bass player when you don't have one..!
It depends on the bass player. 20:32
Subbed. Thank you!❤
The group is amazing
This is a brilliant performance by these guys -- as good as if they were playing at the Ryman. That’s what pros do. ❤❤❤❤❤
I first heard Bluegrass at a incredible concert in front of the Lincoln Memorial as part of an early Smithsonian Folk Festival 1971 or 1972. I was gobsmacked!!!❤🎉🎉❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I learned “violin” as an adult being educated to become a music educator. I loved it, but I had to practice SO hard to play in tune and really to play all. [I’d practiced my flute truly for thousands of hours before this. Lol] I gave my violin away when I retired a few years back from teaching youngsters….Just about my only regret re beginning flute as an 8 years old -- which I took to immediately and adored right away - is that Bluegrass bands don’t have flutists.
I did have an amazing time playing in a Contradance band at Earlham College at 1973. There just aren’t very many around that let folks sit in and play.
I’m working on that!
Thank you SO VERY MUCH for this incredible video!
I have a vinyl record of a bluegrass band ❤that played that summer day so long ago when I first heard Bluegrass. Need to put together a turntable that I ordered during Covid and listen to it. I didn’t recognize the name of the band when I pulled it out a year or so ago. ❤
This really is an AMAZING recording! Oh my word!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉
I gave my violin to a real violinist - including my yellow bow that my students thought was great!❤
Oh to be in that airport that day!
Great musician 👏
incredible.......
Oh my word, seeing and hearing Michael tune-and retune- his fiddle @19:00 is terrific! [I have a thing about playing in tune-which actually isn’t so easy with a bunch of flutists, lol!]
Is ther anything this man can’t play 🤟 respect guys the last time I was going through the airport I was attacked by a Mooney trying to give me one of his books, but that was some time ago, just wish I had this greeting 🙏
Can totally dig it dude. ❤❤❤
Golden!
Wow these guys can really play!!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great to see and hear Glenn pickin’ the banjo on this recording. I just discovered it today while surfing YT. I always enjoy listening to MC & Flamekeeper! Here’s a video I took of Michael and his band (10 years ago now!) at a small festival in Illinois. A thunderstorm knocked out the festival’s PA system, so the guys gathered underneath a nearby picnic pavilion and played their show! It was AWESOME!

Add Flattop Pickin' to the list of things that Michael has mastered
I didn't know Michael could sing and flat pick guitar. Wow what a talent
I’d be right up front singing my heart out!!!! What a treat!
What the hell....Michael is a great guitar player.....and he can sing
my thoughts exactly!
So cool he's like " well i'll play my guitar since its not a big gig"
Some people being rad in sake of being awesome
Maybe one of the best-stringed instrument musicians on the planet...Doc Watson - Ray Charles - Stevie Wonder..etc - The human algorithm is way beyond the mean...
Didn’t even know mike could sing!
wow, pick that thing!
Such a joy to watch Michael live
Live in Lullvull

Great Pikin session and some great songs. thanks
Что за песня?
A great time for these rascals to play....would be during the stormy season with delayed / cancelled flights and hundreds of people milling around.
