Nowadays Venom is like 90% symbiote and 10% Eddie/host.
Your Shocker, Morbius, Electro and Carnage look FANTASTIC. I sooo wish it was a real Spidey show, made with early 2000s gritty and slightly edgy writing. Without "modern audiences" in mind.
It's why I cannot stand that 2012 Ultimate cartoon at all. They had perfectly good source material from the comics which they should have just directly adapted but of course Disney ruins literally everything it touches. The fact that Spectacular was cancelled for Ultimate shows we can't have anything nice anymore
Dude this is so amazing. Venom, Carnage and Shocker look especially great and Peter himself looks AWESOME. He's gangly, a total nerd, and I can tell he's got some of that early Spider-Man "angst" but still has enough charm and is a good enough guy to want to see succeed. I love how "sketchy" this whole world feels, it's like an abandoned alleyway from '99 got distilled into a singular artstyle and I love it.
Now imagine this was set in the late 90s, and was base on adult peter becoming more a veteran superhero, building his rogue gallery's and helping street level allies in a grimy unpredictable new York City, n the whole vid is a 2000s toonami/ mtv feel
I will never not find hypno hustler hilarious, absolutely love your design for him though. also love all the deep cut characters outside of the main a/b-listers, will o the wisp and piper dali made me double take especially.
I absolutely adore these designs. I love the 2000s edge they all got. Kraven is the only one I feel isn’t clicking with me. He’s also the only one here that I would say looks goofier than the original source material, but nonetheless, phenomenal work

I just discovered this gem and I loved all the references it brings, this brings together everything good about the Spider-Man series and gives it its own style, this definitely deserves more support. I would love to see a series like this.

Paper Doll is probably my favourite obscure Spider-Man villain, and I wish she was in more stuff. All the designs look great, though personally I find the Kraven design a little lacking. He is imposing, but it feels kinda empty, like usually the character is strapped quite a lot with leather and belts. Just my opinion - still very good.
These designs rock. I love how threatening they look. Definitely feels like you took a lot of influence from the 90’s. Also, was cool you used some Z-listers that aren’t super mainstream. I want this to become a show one day. 🔥

This is what audiences actually want. Real creativity and thoughtfulness on villain designs. The animation flow has a very Samurai Jack feel to it, which is perfect for Spiderman. I pray that you get a contract to produce this.

Most of these designs are great! I especially love Grizzly, Electro, and Vermin. Unfortunately, I think a LOT of these characters could stand to be bulked up in some way. Too many skinny dudes.

Great character designs overall, a few of them are too simple and generic(not unique/set apart enough) and a few of them have a little too much going on, those few need to be simplified that way it’s easier to redraw them/remember them. But just for shits and giggles i’m gonna act like I’m the show writer/producer and give you my rankings and notes of all the designs: 1.)Grizzly (LOVE this character. Hope all the new original characters I have just as interesting backgrounds and motivations as they do designs) 2.)Electro (This honestly should be number one but I’m just so intrigued by grizzly. This is the best design of electro I’ve seen in my whole life. My only know it would be his undershirt/weird striped boxers, maybe change those. But obviously whatever he wears underneath his coat should be lighter. The white electricity is perfect) 3.)Wild the wisp (Love this original character) 4.)The white rabbit (I love this design. Honestly pretty terrifying. I think this would really work if you couldn’t tell what gender they were. Similar to him off of Powerpuff Girls. needs a good backstory instead of abilities/motivations) 5.)Lizard (Love the coloring, wish she was thicker, like in the opening. Maybe webbed fingers?) 6.)The murderous mimes (Great name, I like the idea that they’re black, the third one on the right needs to be a little bit more interesting though. And the one on the left well pretty good isn’t good enough. The one in the middle is basically perfect. Make sure when it comes to the story and motivations they’re more than just a rip off of the joker gang/Royal flush gang. Does it need to be anything fancy or mind blowing) 7.)Kraven The Hunter (now this design might ruffle some feathers but based on the execution of his voice acting personality dialogue and story, I think this could be a very unique and memorable version of the character. I have notes for the design but I can’t tell what they are. I would need to know more about this version of Kraven. Maybe some gray in the beard? it’s looking pretty dark up there) 8.)Rhino (This one’s hard because I’m one hand it’s basically just an exact copy of one of the versions of Reiner we see in the comics. That being said we’ve never really seen that version of animated or in live action, I love the detail of his teeth being broken. Obviously half of the job is the voice actor/personality and backstory. I would give a greenlight on this design but maybe make his top half a little wider. If you can simplify a little bit more that would be great) 9.)Scorpion (As usual you love the redesign. A little too much going on here but I like the silver black and red aesthetic, I also like that he’s full cyborg based on the legs. The tail isn’t perfect, especially the hook. The weapons on the arms are a little lazy to me. But overall just needs to be more simplified) 10.)Doctor Octopus (I really liked seeing his design in the opening. I’ll have to look back but for some reason I remember his tentacles looking better than this. More distinct. Definitely the clause need to be more unique, maybe put the blue lines at the bottom of his waist piece as well. I like the color of his face and hair. I like how the gloves match, make the boots completely black besides the toes maybe? I don’t know I think the worst part is the tentacles, which are the most important part. And they’re not bad they’re just generic. All that being said, definitely unique and strong) 11.)Medusa (Not bad, not great. But reminds me of JoJo and I like that) 12.)Type face (Interesting enough design. The only thing I would change for sure is his weapon) 13.)Green Goblin (This one’s hard to judge. I need to know if it’s all technology or if he has powers. Is it a Mask or has he deformed. But I’d say overall this design is a little simple besides the arms, and the glider is a little too safe. I do like where you went with the red and black color scheme for the armor, along with the unique choice of the hair) 14.)Mysterio (Probably top three favorite villains in the whole roster. So I was pleased when I saw this design as it’s not something I’m used to seeing but still works with the character. I’d make the eye more memorable… His legs complicate things so I would make the bottom half of his coat go all the way down to the ankles. The belt shouldn’t have any eyeballs on it and it’s also a little messy. I like the white gloves, but the rest and portion are a little messy. And the eyeballs great, make sure there’s no veins in the bowl. And I hope the eyeball moves) 15.)Father anthem (I like the idea of the villain, and I love the name. Maybe change the race that way his face is more memorable?) 16.)Hydro man (One of my favorite villains as a child. Pretty good design, the coloring on the water is a little weak. I can see how this might be a hard character to work with. I love the distinct trend you have going on with the very thin angles with each of the characters) 17.)Kangaroo (It’s an interesting idea I guess, but he better have a great ass story and fighting style. I think I would change depending on if it was even worth putting in the show, would be his hair and face. That could get real annoying real quick) 18.)Morbius the living vampire (I need to see more, it’s too hard to tell right now. I also need to know more about his backstory to understand why he’s wearing boots or clothes like this. But so far the face is good) 19.)Hammerhead (Another one of my all-time favorite Spider-Man villains from my childhood. my only note is make his arms hairier and his chest, and change his outfit to something more memorable. I can’t comment on his head because he’s covered in blackness. But the forehead is good enough and I like the uniqueness of it the Italian face) 20.)The enforcers (I have no notes here, not great not awful. Not nearly as interesting as someone like Medusa. Hopefully we don’t see a lot of these guys) 21.)Chamaeleon (This is a very disappointing design. Especially because of how many possibilities there are for him. He just chose the most generic choice that’s been used 100 times in the comics. That being said as a drawing and just from a color standpoint it’s good) 22.)Tombstone (The black clothes are just a bad idea, you got to reinvent this guy, everything about him. This is way too safe. Feels like we’ve seen us 1000 times) 23.)Arcade (The only reason why I don’t like the idea of this character is so far based on the opening and most of your character designs this world is a little bit more grounded and less fantastical. I know that sounds weird, but it’s just giving that type of aesthetic. So for a random guy to be able to trap Spider-Man in his arcade, I don’t know that just seems a little childish) 24.)Vermin (Not the worst thing in the world but could fill in an episode I guess. So when he goes to school with, the only good thing about this idea is the fact that he’s a rat which has a direct connection to New York) 25.)Piper Dali (I’m interested… Not nearly as much as I should be… but mainly because of the long arms I am interested. I just hope she’s not made out of liquid) 26.)Man wolf Basically vermin but doesn’t relate as much to New York, but at least you have a guaranteed relation to a character. I’d say pick and choose between the two and stick to that one. 27.)Digger (I actually really like this design. I think maybe his brains should be a different color, but this is really good. My only problem is that I don’t think the character should be here. He’s probably just gonna be Solomon Grundy 2.0, and Solomon Grundy‘s already a boring character) 28.)Kingpin (I think this is the one character where you need to break the trend of the body design. Also not a fan of his face or his color scheme. You are so also remember that we’ve already gotten animated series before, and the best one gave us some of these characters. So you really have to differentiate yourself) 29.)Venom (I feel like you did nothing here, besides the tail end of the symbol. The way you designed venom and the Symbiot suit overall says a lot about your universe so I feel like this should be a lot more distinct and tailored towards your style) 30.)Carnage (Feels like you did nothing here besides the yellow eyes) 31.)The Spot (There’s never really been much you can do with this guy…) 32.)Prowler (This is definitely not the best) 33.)Shocker (Possibly the most disappointing design. Especially because you have so much to work with. I think this would’ve been better if you had treated more like shocker or scorpion and just went full throttle redesign. Somehow you took no risks while also made him so that he looks nothing like shocker. Where is as soon as I saw electro I knew it was electro despite the fact that he looks nothing like the previous designs) 35.)Calypso (Unremarkable. But It at least feels inspired to me) 36.)Hypno Hustler (I get rid of this guy.) 37.)Beetle (This is a rough one. Looks like something I would’ve drawn when I was in sixth grade. Way too much going on here from a design standpoint and just from a color standpoint. Does not sell the character and so when you want to watch at all. Also incredibly overused engineer design for the helmet) 38.)Alistair Smythe (Please scratch this character, definitely the design entirely. At the very least re-create his character from the ground up.) 39.)Molten Man (Please get rid of this one. Not only are the powers generic and boring but so is the design)

Obviously half of the job is the voice actor/personality and backstory. I would give a greenlight on this design but maybe make his top half a little wider. If you can simplify a little bit more that would be great)
9.)Scorpion
(As usual you love the redesign. A little too much going on here but I like the silver black and red aesthetic, I also like that he’s full cyborg based on the legs. The tail isn’t perfect, especially the hook. The weapons on the arms are a little lazy to me. But overall just needs to be more simplified)
10.)Doctor Octopus
(I really liked seeing his design in the opening. I’ll have to look back but for some reason I remember his tentacles looking better than this. More distinct. Definitely the clause need to be more unique, maybe put the blue lines at the bottom of his waist piece as well. I like the color of his face and hair. I like how the gloves match, make the boots completely black besides the toes maybe? I don’t know I think the worst part is the tentacles, which are the most important part. And they’re not bad they’re just generic. All that being said, definitely unique and strong)
11.)Medusa
(Not bad, not great. But reminds me of JoJo and I like that)
12.)Type face
(Interesting enough design. The only thing I would change for sure is his weapon)
13.)Green Goblin
(This one’s hard to judge. I need to know if it’s all technology or if he has powers. Is it a Mask or has he deformed. But I’d say overall this design is a little simple besides the arms, and the glider is a little too safe. I do like where you went with the red and black color scheme for the armor, along with the unique choice of the hair)
14.)Mysterio
(Probably top three favorite villains in the whole roster. So I was pleased when I saw this design as it’s not something I’m used to seeing but still works with the character. I’d make the eye more memorable… His legs complicate things so I would make the bottom half of his coat go all the way down to the ankles. The belt shouldn’t have any eyeballs on it and it’s also a little messy. I like the white gloves, but the rest and portion are a little messy. And the eyeballs great, make sure there’s no veins in the bowl. And I hope the eyeball moves)
15.)Father anthem
(I like the idea of the villain, and I love the name. Maybe change the race that way his face is more memorable?)
16.)Hydro man
(One of my favorite villains as a child. Pretty good design, the coloring on the water is a little weak. I can see how this might be a hard character to work with. I love the distinct trend you have going on with the very thin angles with each of the characters)
17.)Kangaroo
(It’s an interesting idea I guess, but he better have a great ass story and fighting style. I think I would change depending on if it was even worth putting in the show, would be his hair and face. That could get real annoying real quick)
18.)Morbius the living vampire
(I need to see more, it’s too hard to tell right now. I also need to know more about his backstory to understand why he’s wearing boots or clothes like this. But so far the face is good)
19.)Hammerhead
(Another one of my all-time favorite Spider-Man villains from my childhood. my only note is make his arms hairier and his chest, and change his outfit to something more memorable. I can’t comment on his head because he’s covered in blackness. But the forehead is good enough and I like the uniqueness of it the Italian face)
20.)The enforcers
(I have no notes here, not great not awful. Not nearly as interesting as someone like Medusa. Hopefully we don’t see a lot of these guys)
21.)Chamaeleon
(This is a very disappointing design. Especially because of how many possibilities there are for him. He just chose the most generic choice that’s been used 100 times in the comics. That being said as a drawing and just from a color standpoint it’s good)
22.)Tombstone
(The black clothes are just a bad idea, you got to reinvent this guy, everything about him. This is way too safe. Feels like we’ve seen us 1000 times)
23.)Arcade
(The only reason why I don’t like the idea of this character is so far based on the opening and most of your character designs this world is a little bit more grounded and less fantastical. I know that sounds weird, but it’s just giving that type of aesthetic. So for a random guy to be able to trap Spider-Man in his arcade, I don’t know that just seems a little childish)
24.)Vermin
(Not the worst thing in the world but could fill in an episode I guess. So when he goes to school with, the only good thing about this idea is the fact that he’s a rat which has a direct connection to New York)
25.)Piper Dali
(I’m interested… Not nearly as much as I should be… but mainly because of the long arms I am interested. I just hope she’s not made out of liquid)
26.)Man wolf
Basically vermin but doesn’t relate as much to New York, but at least you have a guaranteed relation to a character. I’d say pick and choose between the two and stick to that one.
27.)Digger
(I actually really like this design. I think maybe his brains should be a different color, but this is really good. My only problem is that I don’t think the character should be here. He’s probably just gonna be Solomon Grundy 2.0, and Solomon Grundy‘s already a boring character)
28.)Kingpin
(I think this is the one character where you need to break the trend of the body design. Also not a fan of his face or his color scheme. You are so also remember that we’ve already gotten animated series before, and the best one gave us some of these characters. So you really have to differentiate yourself)
29.)Venom
(I feel like you did nothing here, besides the tail end of the symbol. The way you designed venom and the Symbiot suit overall says a lot about your universe so I feel like this should be a lot more distinct and tailored towards your style)

(Feels like you did nothing here besides the yellow eyes)

(There’s never really been much you can do with this guy…)

(This is definitely not the best)
33.)Shocker
(Possibly the most disappointing design. Especially because you have so much to work with. I think this would’ve been better if you had treated more like shocker or scorpion and just went full throttle redesign. Somehow you took no risks while also made him so that he looks nothing like shocker. Where is as soon as I saw electro I knew it was electro despite the fact that he looks nothing like the previous designs)

(Unremarkable. But It at least feels inspired to me)
36.)Hypno Hustler
(I get rid of this guy.)
37.)Beetle
(This is a rough one. Looks like something I would’ve drawn when I was in sixth grade. Way too much going on here from a design standpoint and just from a color standpoint. Does not sell the character and so when you want to watch at all. Also incredibly overused engineer design for the helmet)
38.)Alistair Smythe
(Please scratch this character, definitely the design entirely. At the very least re-create his character from the ground up.)

(Please get rid of this one. Not only are the powers generic and boring but so is the design)
