For my next cruise (October 6-13, 2024 out of New Orleans), I had received $200 in OBC and I was able to use the entire thing towards the Bubbles for the nephew and towards FTTF with no issue.

It been years since being on a cruise, this will be approx my sixth. I use to always bring a satellite phone on with me for communication and wi-fi, though bringing my younger children this time I will get the wi-fi package for them. On the Mardi Gras, will I have to book for the arcade, or small restaurants like seafood shack, Big Chicken❓I did hear you say the ultimate playground needs reservations. I am not a big drinker, but the bubble package for my children, I will be getting this package for them as they’ll be busy running and asking for all. And I’d like to say your info is very informative for many people. Thanks for this, I’ve been forwarding your videos to family members.

Maybe stress that the beverage package also includes non alcohol drinks as well. I'm not a huge drinker but I looked at what else it includes and thought it was as good option. First time cruiser. I will definitely find out for myself if it was worth it.

I love what you guys said about the drink package. I like to drink but I figured I can not drink enough to make it worth it.
First cruise in July and I am debating the chef table because I'm a bit of a foodie but am having trouble justifying it when I know there's so much "free" food on the ship

Honestly the food in the main dining room is awful. Steaks like shoe leather, a chicken breast the size of your fork tines. The only really good meal we had on the Freedom was a specialty restaurant at $40.00 each. It was an anniversary for us so it was worth it. If you can afford it pay the up charge.
We do it every cruise. But we consider it an excursion...lol

You have to pay for alcohol and some restaurants aren’t included with your purchase. You can bring sodas/drinks (non alcoholic) but they HAVE to be in a can. Can’t bring water in bottles. (They sell them if you needed bottled water)…. Not sure on the size luggage but they can’t be more than 50 pds.

I've been binge watching and getting so excited about my 1st cruise! Tuesday carnival cancelled my 8a balcony room in error....then they said there were no balcony rooms available. I was furious bc i booked in october! After complaining they booked me bl-balcony...guaranteed balcony. I no longer trust them. Do you think I will actually get a balcony room?

So we have our kids coming with us on our cruise that are going to be 16 & 13. Any tips and tricks for them that we should inform them of. We are some things we need to know as their parents that they or us can and can’t do. We will be going on our first carnival elation cruise in June of 2024 for my husbands 40th. I’m on Carnival Elation now so far the cruise is ok but the Wi-Fi is horrible and I paid for the value package. These 4 teens are going nuts🤬🤦♀️
The Wifi definitely can be unstable
For others reading this with teens, a cruise is a time to unwind and reconnect with the family. There are so many activities on board even when teens think they are not fun. Prior to cruising prepare "teens" that wifi may not be an option. Take mini cards, chess, checkers, or backgammon. Go to one of the lively decks and have your own party. After all wifi is 18.70 per person, per day. This is unnecessary cash spent on teens when they should vacay.
