Don't know if anyone has clarified this but the vampire in the beginning who got hit by a car was damon. he was the one responsible for those deaths. this vamp who elena hit is a new character.
The vampire at the end isnt the same vampire from the first episode, the vampire at the beginning of the series was Damon the one Elena just hit is someone new. I think Elena's reaction to seeing the picture of Katherine is completely justified because in her mind it seems like Stefan is interested in her because she looks exactly like his ex gf.
“Paybacks a bitch isn’t it?” I love when damon got revenge on Logan and shot him. His one-liners are the best thing about this show. The Damon and Stefan team up in this episode is so iconic. 😂
I agree about the flip-flopping but in this case it was understandable so I cut Elena some slack. That being said, that Stelena scene is one of my faves, especially with the song Cut (not Cooked lol) by Plumb in the background. I discovered it on this show and later found out it's about self harm, which I have personally struggled with so it means a lot to me, but I also associate it with Stelena ❤ Also, Damon is the one who attacked and killed the couple in the first episode.
