This Is A MAJOR UPGRADE For Mid Game in OSRS | Ironman from Scratch (#21)

- Our cash stack and skills are coming along nicely, now we need to add to our gear collection. One major upgrade that is reasonably accessible for midgame ironmen is the Iban's Staff, which allows use of the spell Iban Blast. To get it we'll have to go through the infamous Underground Pass. In our downtime we also work on some Shoot Stars to collect the stardust required for a Celestial Ring, and some construction to unlock house teleport tabs.

Hey everyone, welcome to my channel. I've been playing Old School Runescape for years and I'm looking for a new challenge...so I'm making an Ironman!
The goal is to do all kinds of skilling, PVM, bossing and collection log completionist content to experience more of the game and build the best maxed ironman that I can.
This ironman series is to document my journey and hopefully have some awesome moments to look back on in the future to see how much progress I've made.
If you want to tag along then welcome! Pleasure to have you and I hope you enjoy.
Have a good one!

Rune Scimitar, so much nostalgia running around F2P and doing noob pking with it. Obtaining one on an ironman begins the melee grind and feels like the first "rare" drop.
The rune scimitar is such an iconic one. Like you said, it's the gateway into the gear progression grind for Ironman and the pinnacle to aim for in F2P. The old fire giant grind was a classic.
It's also so lovely seeing someone on youtube following the BRUHsailor guide. I've been looking for such a series for a while now. It'll give those looking to use the guide a way of seeing it in action. Love the series and the different bits of information you throw in to explain the many steps!
Glad you're enjoying the videos and find them of interest Kyle. The support is much appreciated. The BRUHSailor guide is a phenomenal resource! There will certainly be minor deviations here and there, particularly on some of the big grinds, but it's such a good framework to give you idea on what you might want to do next. I love it.
yes sir! always down for another vid, you are absolutely smashing it mate
You're on the ball as always! Thanks for the ongoing support mate. ❤️
Finished watching the last vid earlier today and was bummed there was none left. Glad I didn't have to wait too long!
Glad you're enjoying the series enough to go through the full set! Really appreciate the support mate, will do my best to keep delivering.
Only just started playing OSRS, been really enjoying this series while I am on the grind. My favourite weapon so far has been the D Scim. Finishing MM1 was pretty fun
Hey Apocrypha, welcome to OSRS! It's great to see a new face. Glad you're enjoying the series, thanks for checking it out.
D Scim is an awesome item, not only is it iconic to the game, it still holds up as one of the best midgame weapons. I'm sure you'll get plenty of use out of it.
I’ve been trudging through the sulicep grind for 70 prayer. Your videos are great to watch while getting poisoned over and over!
This is an interesting comment, I need 70 prayer but suliceps? You've made me Google lol
Haha, not sure if it's a good thing my videos are being associated with the pain of sulicep poison 😅 Glad they're helping you get through the grind, thanks for watching mate!
Another great video from you! Never get tired of your positive attitude!
His content is so wholesome and has such good vibes. It's like you can hear him smiling when he talks. Absolutely love it.
Thanks a lot both of you for the kind words, positive attitude goes both ways! It's a vibe I've often felt watching Solo Mission's videos, something I aspire to. If I can convey even a fraction of his energy I feel like I'm on the right track.
Thanks again for the support
Your making great progress dude, keep up the great work and content.
Slowly but surely progressing! Thanks for tuning in Raiffel, appreciate the support.
Hey JB, I was really glad to see you being recommended a few times in a recent Reddit post. Well done
Hey Rooxie, thanks for the heads up! I just found the post on Ironscape, guessing that's the one. Did not expect that at all 😅 Lovely to see though.
Thanks again for the heads up, and to everyone who bumped my name! Means a lot.
@@juicybeetosrs No worries. I was about to comment Juicybeet there as well, then I thought hmm, what's the chances he's already been mentioned and ctrl+F'd it. Lo and behold already plenty of mentions. Sorry I just saw your chat reply in-game. I've been busy with the new ironman account. I lost my last one a couple of days ago when I did the Varrock medium diary. I upgraded my account to a Jagex account, enabled 2FA, used a program called WinAuth for the authenticator and it didn't save my authenticator. I didn't write down the backup codes and Jagex accounts aren't recoverable. Sad, as I lost 9m xp, 160 quest points. I had actually followed Oziris' guide before. I enjoyed watching your series and I'm starting again with Parasailer's guide. I look forward to re-watching your videos haha
I don't necessarily have a favorite item but I LOVE fashionscape. My current setup is Ahrims robes, quest cape, Armadyl d'hide boots, trimmed glory, and musketeer hat. (Yes, clues have been very nice to me recently lmao) Another awesome video, thanks for sharing JB!!
I must admit I've never really gotten into fashionscape myself. It's an awesome part of the game though for those interested in it, some of the stuff people come up with looks amazing! I'm just too lazy for it haha. Sounds like a snazzy setup you've got there, the clues definitely have been kind. Thanks stopping by and supporting the channel as always Conor.
6:23 the tome of fire doesn't affect Iban's blast (no damage increase), but that's a good thing because while using Iban's the charged tome of fire can be an infinite source of fire runes without actually using any charges.
Yup, you're 100% correct. I was saying 'fire blast' gets the damage boost which allows it to almost match Iban's Blast max hit. Watching it back, I can hear it sounds similar cause they're both 'blast' haha. It's definitely worth using the tome with Iban's because, as you said, you get the infinite fire runes with it.
There's a number of things that are really nice upgrades. I've gotten bofa and zammy hasta which get you very far into the endgame, but I think my favorites are still the early game d-scim, iban's and rune crossbow!
Yea when you start looking ahead at what's to come, you realise that there's actually so much gear progression in the game. A lot of it you just gloss over if you're not playing an Iron. I can see Iban's becoming high on my list once I get some use out of it. D scim is another legendary piece of equipment!
I see beets video, I like
Absolute legend, thanks for the support mate!
I would definitely have to say my ibans staff is my favorite piece of gear. As someone who doesn't have a main and only plays ironman it let's me do quest fights and bosses that you would usually use better gear with like a trident. It's super cheap for a main but it takes a long time to get on ironman so that's why I have to go with ibans.
I'm the opposite to you, having really only played a main in the past haha. I suspect I'll learn to love my Iban's Staff before too long. You certainly make an excellent sales pitch for it. I honestly didn't even realise it did so much damage until I was double checking for the video haha. Thanks for tuning in as usual SirIsaac.
Iban's opens some sweet options. Can't wait for the b-ring grind! if rushing rune crossbow, that works nicely with it too, and general quest boss killing with your iban's + melee armor
I generally suck when it comes to efficiency and stuff so I wound up getting my rcb limbs from dragons and training up fletching from kingdom instead of killing archeologist for it. Same for my magic shortbow got to 80 from maples just to make it myself instead of hard clues lol
@@IronSirIsaac I forgot about the limbs, that's propably even better if you just get them during slayer. and steel dragons go down okay with... iban blast!
@@IronSirIsaac Ideally you would make the bow yourself from scratch (91 smithing!!!) to complete ardy elite diary and get bofa anyway and never use rcb outside of a few special cases like woox walking Vorkath before blowpipe 😁 (according to bruhsailer guide)
My favorite weapon is the Brine Sabre. It’s under-rated and largely forgotten.
I've heard it mentioned by others in the past, but I must admit that I'm one of the people who have overlooked it 😅 Will have to give it a closer look some time, thanks for sharing!
@@juicybeetosrs Technically better than the Rune scimmy prior to monkey madness 1, kills rockslugs without needing to deal with the bags of salt and kills lobstrositites, which makes for a great source of seaweed spores.
Does require Olaf’s Quest and 47 Slayer, however.
Loved it back in rs2, and in present day oldschool it is even more useful, imo. As an Iron, it’s fantastic.
Thanks for the rundown! I've finished MM1 but don't have the attack yet for the d scim so it might be a good interim choice depending what I get up to.
By the way, Ibans with the tome of fire doesn’t use burnt pages
Yup, 100% correct. Iban's doesn't get a damage boost from tome but will save you the fire runes. No reason not to use it!
Just so you know I'm pretty sure the butler gives you tea? And it grants the same +3 boost. Amazing vids keep up the amazing content.
You might be right, I didn't know about that. I'll just claim I did it because it feels better to make it yourself...right? Thanks for the support mate, glad you're enjoying the vids.
my fav weapon is the blue keris, it's funny when you hit triple damage
I actually didn't even know that was a thing haha. Just read up on it, that's an interesting one. Will have to have a go with it ingame one day. Thanks for tuning in Zehiret!
Cool vids :) I would really recommend getting 83 hunter and hunt for amulet of glory :) and now you got iban staff try go for morytania legs 3 and ghommals hilt 2, it makes barrows such a breeze and good runes.
Glad you like the vids :) A glory would certainly be nice, will keep chipping away via birdhouse runs for now before going on a full hunter grind. I just recently learnt about the ghommal hilt 2, had no idea there was such a useful item available! Thanks for the suggestions mate and for checking out the vids.
I have always likes the battleaxes or any slower hitting weapon in general. To bad they are quite mediocre.
The battleaxes look really cool, and it's fun to just slowly bonk enemies. Shame the overall DPS limits their use cases, and they just can't compete in most situations.
i love the content my bro
Thanks Tbx, glad you like it mate. Appreciate the ongoing support
Your wish is my command sir

Kinda less enjoying bec ur following a guide would love to see ur own intake
To each their own, totally fair if you don't enjoy it as much because of that. I don't do everything perfectly following the guide and try to chime in with my thoughts/comments but will deviate more over time as the account is more established. For now though, I think it's an excellent resource for setting up an account to get to mid-late game content faster.
