1 Timothy 2:12-15 New International Version (NIV)
12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;[a] she must be quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women[b] will be saved through childbearing-if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.

@@brentpapineau6815 Brent Papineau This is not at all convincing. Paul may be responding to a specific situation, but he leaves little room for doubt he is giving general advice that applies to this specific situation. He takes the same approach in I Corinthians 14:34 and following, concerning orderly worship when he says "Women should remain silent in the churches." Yet again, Paul addresses this subject in Titus 2: "You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine....(3) teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live.....Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children....and to be subject to their husbands." Note here the only time Paul expressly allows women to teach is to teach younger women to be submissive. Furthermore, other New Testament writers echo the order established here, such as Peter in 2 Peter 3, where he makes it very clear wives should submit to their husbands, saying that for a woman, "a gentle and quiet spirit" is "pleasing in God's sight. Verse 5 says "This is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master." This verse also highlights how the Old Testament as well sets the example for women 's role both in the family and in the church. More so, Jesus set the example and while there were women who followed him as his disciples, he did not bestow authority on women, but on twelve men, as his apostles. You actually give no evidence for your claim, but rather try to cast doubt on the truth. There is overwhelming evidence here. I hope you take it to heart and not let today's wicked culture cause you to sway from sound doctrine.
