Recording live with great people is the best. Getting to do it at studios like this just makes it that much better. Hope you get some value, excitement, entertainment from these.
You rock Andrew. Seriously, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us!
Very very interesting content ! Always great to see behinds but in a big studio. Thanks ! I see many vids with a trackball instead mouse : Does it feel great ?
In another big studio, they sometimes put panels between musicians. Is it useless in this case ? Thanks again for sharing !
can you Make More video Like this
This type of studio content is amazing. Loving the second channel!
Appreciate it!
Bunker 5 is a true masterpiece of a studio!
Love the format! Please more tech specs on the sessions such as recording sample rate, outboard and plugin usage, total number of tracks used etc. Maybe a shot of the input sheet so we can pause and read. Maybe a time break down, setup, tracking, teardown. Maybe more raw, unmixed recorded track examples instead of mixed polished snippets. Thanks for all the hard work to bring this to the home recording guys! Cheers!
Fantastic video I want to see more of this type.
wow! such incredible talented players and vocalists!
Yes more behind the scenes video:-)
Holy cow! You guys crushed that track!!
I love this ❤
Always good hearing some good professional clean quality recordings without having to hear the b word mf s all the way through a song I usually listen to rap and rock and some rap is good and a lot of it I’ve heard over the years is trash makes no sense and no meaning behind it but yeah great production here on this video …
Glad to see your growth and transition to a new CZcams channel focusing on the recording process. I recognize how much work the CZcams process takes and to have two channels is a LOT of work, thankfully you now have interns. As a fellow studio owner it’s impressive to see your growth and transition to full time studio work. My challenge is having a full time job thus making my studio a hobby/project studio but as you know many of our facilities are not what you would consider a hobby facility. Keep up the good work and maybe one day I may be able to have you come through and film my epic studio.😊 Cheers 🥃
Appreciate the kind words! One session at a time, gotta make the most of whatever you're working on.
Very cool. I really enjoyed seeing all the pieces come together. Great video, great song. Keep 'em coming!
Your doing something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m stoked to see more
Thanks so much for this Andrew! I have been a huge fan of your other channel over the last while and I have learned so much watching your videos. These session videos are probably the most interesting to me. You are such a great teacher and I will be here to soak up any information you can share! Thanks so much.
Grateful for you watching!

Love Ed and Bunker 5. I hope to have a similar facility in the west some day. Keep making these session videos even with more detail. Love them.
Yes, I would like to see more of these :)
Mad love from New Zealand man, thank you for sharing these epic vids. I'm a total newbie and respect you for putting out this awesome content on both channels.
One question would you be able to do a video on EQ'ing and how it all works etc. Cheers man. AJ
At 4:30 when the jazz piano came in my eyes started moving left and right, and then I realized the pan was moving. L->r in my phones😂
Priceless as far as knowledge goes.
Great video! Please, keep this up, Andrew. It is like going to school!

Love the channel 👍
Thank you!
Damn 🦶🏾💿📻💫
Great content as usual, Andrew! Anywhere we can watch the full session?
Thanks, do you mean the song?
For a beginner band, how would you mic up a drum kit with only two mics? Also, how would you record a 4 piece band (2 guitars bass drums) with a Scarlett 2i2?
Real question what mm is your ring ?? I think that sets the standard when fading the sliders on the console
Great video Andrew. Were those the Behringer monitoring stations? I’ve used those before, and have mixed feelings about them. What system are you using at your place?
Yes they are! I think there are pros and cons to any mixer system. Mostly a learning curve for anyone who's not used to them at first. I just use regular cue boxes in my spot and everyone gets the same mix, but i'm not doing sessions with 4 singers cutting at the same time. If I was i'd be rocking the p16s, or hearbacks.
Acoustic guitar in the same room with a drum kit is one of the toughest situations. Did you end up using it or overdubbing it later? The issue is that it becomes a de facto room mic for the drums as well as a guitar mic. Move the guitar away and the delay on the drum bleed becomes a thing, move it too close and it's the overall ratio of drums to guitar. The drummer appeared to be playing pretty lightly.
Totally! We did an extra pass after the fact to clean it up.
Love my api 2448
Studio One ? Fruity Loops, Logic, Abelton.....where yall at ? Pro tools, ya heard !
Go record a session at electrical audio in Chicago.
That's a great recommendation!
My man, you need to get a gimble for your camera lol
lol we've got one, but we were running 3 rigs on this session - sadly i don't have 3 gimbles.
This might be inappropriate as mostly people don’t like to talk money, but…if you were willing…
What did each performer get paid?
What did you get paid?
What did the studio get paid?
What is the songwriter going to be paid, and did he know this in advance, as in, is this being funded by a label or some such? Or is he taking a passion shot in the dark laying out in advance to fulfill a creative vision, hoping he’ll find somewhere to place it that will recoup costs and turn a profit?
