Honestly, Annabel has brought SO much joy to this series of Strictly. The fact that this was her last dance is equal parts devastating and perfect. The pairing of her and Johannes was absolutely perfect. I truly believe they were both put on this earth to dance with each other.
MAGICAL!! UNDERMARKED!! BEAUTIFUL!! So many words to describe this masterpiece, it fitted perfectly with the beautiful dress, everything was glorious! ✨️ No matter what happens Annabel should be so proud!

This routine was completely undermarked! I love annabel and johannes and I always feel so moved watching her beautiful ballroom dances! She's improved so much and I would be thrilled if she and johannes won! Her late husband would be very proud of her! ❤❤
This is, without a doubt, my favourite Viennese Waltz on the entire show, up there with Faye's, and the closest I've ever come to crying on a dance, I won't even talk about how undermarked this is as I could go on for hours.
For me that was perfect - a 10 for sure! Annabel absolutely nailed the technical and emotional aspect of the dance. She looks beautiful and you can really feel the love and support that both of them have for each other!
To come out after this amazing and full on Charleston by Layton, with a dance that is so calm and so "unexcited", I really admire their ability to pull all of us in that performance and really put a spell on us. This was like a siren to me... I got completely lost in it and what a way to depart the competition!
Simply amazing how Johannes helped her out of that black hole.. she really started to heal and blossom throughout this journey.
Annabel and Johannes may not have won the glitterball trophy... but they found each other and won the nation's heart ❤

Thank you so much, Annabel and Johannes for delighting us these past 12 weeks! I have been so touched by what has happened to you this year, Annabel. My husband and I are of similar ages. I hope Strictly has helped a bit to ease the pain. You will have had the celebrities and pros final dance to learn with Johannes and all the others this week to ease your path, and then you have Christmas with your wonderful children. Then, next year it's the live tour!

Just beautiful. As I mentioned before, I don’t get emotional that much but I got close then! This was yet another dance to show how much she loves her family and in loving memory of her husband who I’m sure will be beaming down at her with the biggest smile! Annabel you are magnificent! One Viennese Waltz I will cherish forever! ❤
Next is Annabel and Johannes dancing there second dance which is the Viennese Waltz.
I thought that this was a beautiful dance, danced by a beautiful pairing and a beautiful bye bye to this pairing. Annabel your a pure sweet person and you deserves all the love and happiness and Johannes your a superstar and just so amazing.
I enjoyed this beautiful dance and feel that the judges have already made up their minds who they want to see in the final, as I didn't hear them mention once in both of Anabel and Johannes' dances anything about a place in the final, while for others it was mentioned a few times.
Yes I did expect Anabelle to go to be fair but bit annoyed how they manufactured it for the other 3 making out Bobby was so much better than her. It a shame as she could beat Both Layton and Bobby in public vote and it not enough to avoid dance off.

One of the most strange scorings ive seen in ages, an 8 was an absolute insult to this, this to me was just right, her frame, hold, body contact, pivots and fleckerl was absolutely perfection plus... Annabel proved she could do anti clockwise in the VW which few contestants do anymore, not to mention the technique wasn't just flawless but the setting and mood was simply stunning. It was incredibly hard after following that trailblazer of a dance to bring the noise down but they both did it beautifully, fantastic choreography, lovely scene and Annabel described it beautifully when she said it was like dancing in the snow ❄. That was a classic Viennese Waltz! I know it'll proably be their last week but I've loved Annabel's journey so much and really would be devastated to see her leave, she deserves the world she is so strong and inspirational, I've loved this partnership ♥
Annabel doing Ballroom is the only thing that could've followed Layton's Charleston. And she did. Beautifully.

Absolutely disgusting. I think I'm done with the show after this farce. The show will likely never award a beautiful slow technical ballroom dance a 40 again. It has gone too far down the road of musical theatre and the inclusion of already established trained dancers that you people faen over has destroyed the shoe. I am far far far more impr3ssed by seeing this women with 0 prior experience dance this 10 worthy ballroom number to this standard than watching pro Layton with that Charleston. The judges should be embarrassed of their blatant agenda to get Annabel out which has worked. This is not the show it used to be. I'm shocked at this utter travesty.
@@user-wg8bh2mp9w obviously I totally disagree with regards to experienced dancers ruining the show, Claire Sweeney on Series 1 had dance experience so not really anything new. However, I'm glad that we agree on Annabel being underlooked by the judges and that this was a fabulous dance! Merry Christmas 🌲🎁❄️
@pennyandfishy7241 are you joking. Claire Sweeney is NOT the same kind of ringer in dance training terms as Layton, Alexandra or a couple others have been. Not even close. I don't really care of people have training to be honest But when they are no longer focusing on the actual technique of dances and especially the 10 dance series then the show is simply bastardised. That is to say, it no longer adheres to the same true model and purpose it used to and apparently still masquerades as. At this point they might as well take Waltzes and Foxtrots out if what they are really interested in is allowing a couple pro dancers in to do generic showdances every week whilst they give other non dancer contestants who deliver bona-fide 10s in traditional ballroom only 8s.
This was definitely under marked! This was so magical - a 9 from me

I loved watching the dance performance between anabel and Johannes
Absolutely lovely. Grossly undermarked after all the judges praised her.
By adding last weeks judges scores to this weeks scores and not doubling the public vote correspondingly, Strictly have made sure that Annabel has absolutely no chance of getting to the final even if she gets most public votes this week. What a stitch-up.

The most disgraceful marking i have seen by the judges in years. Stunning hold and frame. Fantastic traditional Vienese count. Beautiful lilting swing and sway. Perfect head position, delucate touch upon the shoulder. Wonderful turning both spins of the clock, fleckerl fantastic, accurate footwork and nice floor coverage. I cannot believe how stupid the judges think we are to give this 8s and think we wouldnt know better. I cant help but feel that the show has dumbed down technique so much with the stupid CC dances, the centring of character-driven Charlestons, Quicksteps and speciality dances like the Salsa and Argentine, will we ever see an emphasis and reward for quietly epic ballroom dances like the Waltzes and Foxtrot ever again? Only once in the last 10 years has Craig awarded a 10 for one of these and the other judges hardly wver do either. It is a disgrace. 10.
Agreed, this dance was marked down because it wasn't 'exciting' but imo it was still performed well, just different emotions and feel then simply gunning and jumping for he camera
My favourite dance of the evening, the dance and music came together.
Purely strategic marking to justify kicking her out should she be in the B2. Giving this dance the score that it deserved would have still put her last on the leaderboard.
I expected Annabelle to go but the score was so unjust this was no worse than Bobby quickstep yet they have us believe a gulf in class between two dances.
One thing is for sure craig wont get out of his chair for you bobby or ellie a lovely dance that was bless yer both

It was so under marked. It should have got higher that was so beautiful the scores were a joke a 9 from me.
Oh well, viewers will now have the pleasure of watching a final contested by 2 actors and a professional dancer. If Annabel had made the cut she so narrowly missed, there could have have been a finalist who embodies the spirit of the competition, coming from nowhere to hold her own with contestants whose entertainment experience gave them a rolling start before the series began, and who has conducted herself with impeccable grace and dignity. Of course, contestants must be chosen from well-known public figures and it would be difficult to exclude everyone from the world of Soaps & Pop videos, but greater diversity of people with no dancing and/or acting experience would be so much more welcome. Finally, I believe certain judges should be cautioned for their practice of telegraphing their opinions before being invited to speak. I have no issue with polite applause provided it is for every contestant, but standing ovations at that point are completely out of order. Taking a leaf out of Mr. Revel-Horwood's book would be a salutary lesson for them.

The judges didn't come up with a single criticism for this dance, yet only scored her 8s? Bobby and Diane's quickstep was lovely and deserved the 38 it received, but their paso doble was another thing entirely. Craig was right about Bobby's shaping, it wasn't good at all, yet despite that the judges still scored it 2 points more than Annabel's Viennese waltz. The scoring made no sense to me last night, and not for the first time this series either.

Under marked. Not one judge had a bad word to say about this routine, so why did three judges only give 8's? At least Anton got it right with a 9.
I think the judges were trying to make clear who they wanted in the finale that year. Because they marked this down but about 95% of the comments were positive. But, that being said, Annabel did amazingly well, probably made the most progress out of any contestant on the show that year AND what an perfect addition to her life Johannes is, particularly at that point. He came when she needed him the most.

That's more like it, Annabel!! Beautiful!! I have loved her journey. Just a beautiful story of a woman healing from losing her soulmate. Even if this week is her end, she has made her mark. As always, Johannes and his celebs are wonderful. ♥ Talk about undermarked. This was much better than her Salsa.
Another wonderful routine. Just a shame that even if Annabel tops the public vote she could still end up in the dance off. A dance off should not happen at the semi final stage for this reason.

The comments don’t actually matched the scores. What on earth is that all about?! I’m absolutely shocked, disgusted, annoyed and getting so angry with Craig, Motsi and Shirley but thanks for Anton for giving them a 9. The judges should be ashamed of themselves. I'm really sad to see Annabel go, she's such a lovely lady and I adored her partnership with Johannes. But she should be so proud of herself for making it this far, especially after the year she's had, and Bobby, Ellie and Layton all deserve to be in the final. I would honestly be happy if any of them won it but I reckon it will be Ellie and Vito who lift that Glitterball
This series of strictly has been so unfair and biased. The judges clearly have their faves and they underscore. This and her salsa deserved higher marks.

Layton shouldn't have won his B2 either. In fact he's been really overmarked and overhyped considering he has poor technique for someone so proficient in dance.
In fact, they keep going in on Annabel about performance when Ellie is right there giving absolutely nothing in hers.

what on earth were those scores? the comments made it sound like this was going to be at least a 39. this was WAY better than their salsa. to me this is her best dance, and (if she gets eliminated) a fitting end to her journey.
Craig said nothing bad about it he even said amazing. I feel as if the judges were talking about another dance. Most unmarked dance this series

When I saw the scores for this magical dance I felt like maybe the judges were doing their part to ensure the other 3 made it to the finals. They said to each of the other dancers that they deserved to be in the finals but didn’t say anything like that to Annabel. They gave her fantastic comments only to underscore her. There’s definitely some strategy there.
@@elise.thebookworm i actually think it does her more favours than disfavours. the whole time the pros were screaming “undermarked”, which will absolutely influence the public vote. as well as that, if i got money for every time i heard someone say “annabel is what strictly is all about” i would be rich. i wouldnt be shocked if she got straight through to the final.

Deliberately undermarked as is the " normal" misogynistic ageist show policy with the Women over 30 they have chosen to eliminate week after week. Annabel and Johannes knew the score and worked to keep their composure admirably throughout this macabre charade which has long ceased being a dance competition and because its agenda laden it is no longer an "Wholesome" entertainment show. Particularly sickening was the hypocritical cowardice of Craig pretending he wanted to "save Annabel" when he knew the other judges were going to vote against her and what's worse they victim blamed the sacrificial lamb for a " poorly executed pivot turn" instead of just gracefully saying they were going to save Bobby. Disreputable.
I should not have been able to predict every miserable turn of this show for the last 8 weeks.Well done Annabel and Johannes for being so classy in the face of such tawdriness.
