Well, I was born and grew up in Rochester and lived on Northwest area in the city and generally is safe. You watch that video shown above, it is the most dangerous neighborhood and ghetto.
Yes, I know. I was born and raised up there. My point was around Jefferson Road and some places in West Main Street somewhat look much better than last time I was there, it was horrible. But you said 3rd place in the world as the most dangerous city. First is Caracas, Venezuela, second is Johannesburg, South Africa, and 3rd should be Rio decJaneiro, Brazil. I was told that Rochester has been ranking Humber 7 as the most dangerous city in the USA. 8th would be Buffalo. 1st is Chicago, 2nd would be Detroit, 3rd would be St. Louis, 4th would be New Orleans, 5th would be Baltimore, and 6th would be Memphis. Atlanta and Birmingham, AL also are the most dangerous cities. I have a question for you because I’ve lived here in Washington, DC since August 1985 in which I attended the college. So, what made Rochester as the 7th dangerous city in the world? I was told that the city has had an awful economy after many famous companies like Champion, Bauch and Lomb, and some others moved to other states. Rochester used to have so many wonderful companies, including factories such as Kodak, IBM, Motorola, French’s where they made mustard), Ragu’s where they made tomato sauces, General Motor, Lawyers’ Publishing Corporation where they made so many books of laws, Western Union, and a few which hurt the city and caused the economy into a very bad shape. I remember when I was a teenager, I know that both Tom Ryan, Sr. as an Executive Director for Monroe County and his son Tom, Jr. as an the mayor for the city were not very good. I asked my father as to why people kept voting for both of them and he said that they were too stupid. They idolized Tom, Sr. and his son. Yes, I was very disappointed in Tom, Sr. and his son. Paul Johnson who became the city’s first black mayor in history (between 1993 and 1999 while I was living in Washington, DC) did do very good job and he improved the economy, but in 1999 just after Paul sworn in as the mayor, a guy who, lost his election to Paul avenged Paul by telling the city about Paul’s personal backgrounds that led Paul tot seek the 3rd term which many people didn’t vote for him again. That is what I was told by my best friends and others. Oh well, I hope Rochester will get recovered in the near future. Just wait and see what happens 8n the near future. BIG SIGH!
Truly very sad, but I hope one day the city will get repaired. Just wait and see what happens. I used to live on Fill ore Street located between Chili Avenue and West Avenue - just next block is Thurston Road. Then, after my parents got separated, my mother, sister, and I moved to live off Lexington Avenue - just 2 blocks from Edison High School.
Lmao I miss some of my ppl but don’t miss Da Roc at all. I live in Charlotte, NC now and nobody can pay me enough to move back. Even when I visit I’m good after 2 days
@@rochester5852 awww man I love it here. I smile everyday when driving to work. It was a toss up between Charlotte and Atlanta when I was deciding where to move. When I graduated from Brockport I put my resume out there and kept getting calls for jobs in Charlotte so I made the move here. Best decision ever. Its growing a lot..new houses and restaurants popping up almost every day and a lot of jobs...you will make $17 a hour minimum even without a degree. My daughter and her mom moving down here next month!!! I would definitely rather raise my daughter down here.
That MF corner of Ave D & Remington! The day I got whooped with a few hundy in the wallet, and 5th of Hennessy that I got over the head. Lol. Rochester memories
I'm glad everyone remembers just where they lived . . So does those who died. Everything is frozen in ⏲️time ! You may have moved away, some may have died in the hood, " but what you did on the land to defile it is written. It doesn't matter how many years ago. Habakkuk 2 said, if the beams of your house could testify against you !!!!!!!!! What marks would stand against you ! For tearing up this community. Did you murder, vandelize, steal, rape any one,,? Lots of you have good remembrances about where you live. What in pack have you made ? Good or bad, what was your part. Did you lead any astray.
Those are some tough areas, I wouldn't get out of my car on Avenue D or Remington Street! It would be a more interesting video on a hot summer evening!
Rory cuz white people fucked it up and left it to us and there’s a thing called redlining that limits where black people can live (although it’s illegal it still happens)
Again..looks like entirely to much spare time..no disres..a hobby will help..ive been thru all walks of life i get your reasoning...we all know we cant beat the system

Except for all of the assaults, murders and rapes. But just about everyone's moved out of the featureless Frozen Ghost Town now. Twisting in the wind.
Not worry, okay? Remember that many people have their different opinions or views or others.
