      These were sold as the Kia Pride and the Mazda 121. Oddly enough they were sold in Japan as the Ford Festiva but not as the Mazda 121!

    Ford nameplate, designed by Mazda, built by Kia! I had no idea. That's cool

      Yes it was actually sold as the Mazda 121 in some markets (where it fit in the lineup with the 323,. 626, and 929...). Thanks for watching and turn on notifications if you haven't so you'll know when the next video comes out (later this week...)

    Do you know if that white Festiva is still in that junk yard or what is the name of the junk yard

    • @jimmythejunkyarddawg
      @jimmythejunkyarddawg  Před měsícem

      No, this one isn't there anymore (it was in Windsor, Colorado). There is a very similar 1992 Festiva also in white in the Tucson AZ Pull n Save with a picture on their inventory page. I saw it about a month ago and it seemed pretty complete back then. Good luck!

    Wonder what took it off the road? Maybe it flunked an emissions test, or someone didn’t want to drive something this size in modern traffic.

    • @jimmythejunkyarddawg
      @jimmythejunkyarddawg  Před rokem

      Emissions is certainly a possibility, it has every indication of being an original owner car which would be around 5000 miles per year, so who knows. If it were a manual it might be kind of fun to run around in, with the auto it's probably less so, still likely good mileage but yeah there are a lot of big trucks on the roads here and the closest freeway runs with a 75mph limit...or perhaps the transmission or a timing belt were the problem? Thanks for watching!

      Oh man that has all the options!
      Radio, the hatch cover, it's all there.
      I'm going to bet it was an older person's car and the children took it to the junkyard

      I’m on my second Festiva. First one was a1993 stick. About a year ago I found a 1989 automatic. I just love driving these cars. With the price of gas now the 44-46 MPG doesn’t hurt either.

    • @jimmythejunkyarddawg
      @jimmythejunkyarddawg  Před rokem

      @@oldclassic They do seem like a lot of fun and there is NO fun whatsoever in paying for gas. Double your pleasure, double your fun! Festiva!!! Thanks for watching!

      I don't own it, but it is still located at Iron Ridge Auto and Metal in Windsor, Colorado, the last time I saw it a couple of weeks ago it was pretty much as complete as it is in this video.
