  • A few videos ago, you met my friend Rebecca. Her and her husband lost their children WRONGFULLY to the Missouri foster care system due to an undiagnosed medical condition. They have since been reunified with their kids. Please watch for recourses for families like hers.

Wow! Thank you for sharing this unique circumstance of how a family may become involved in foster care. No one speaks about wrongful removals from the biological family/household. I appreciate your channel and friend sharing about Fractured Families.🙏🏿

We adopted 8 kids from treatment foster care. We had our license in treatment foster care for 10 years in Michigan, then 5 years in another state. We adopted them at different ages. The oldest was 15 when we adopted her. They came to us from mental hospitals, residential care, from multiple failed placement. Most stayed at least two years. Now I am 75 and am a grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 3. Two if our children are special needs and still live with us. Our two oldest daughters will each take one and take care of them after we die. We had the daughter who lives nearest us made a legal guardian of both along with us so there would not be a place for the state to be involved. It was extremely hard work. We celebrate “ family anniversaries “, being the day each one came to our home. The oldest two came 54 years ago, the next 36 years ago, then 34,32,30,20. There were two sets of siblings in that group.
