@@tr-tv6284 The instrumental samples sound the same to me. The big difference I hear is in the female vocals - sounds like two women trading off, and neither's voice has the timbre of Ninja's. I like the rerecording, maybe a little more even, but they're both spectacularly joyful powerhouses. Ya gotta tap your feet when this comes on.

They hadn't achieved clearance for many samples on the album as they assumed that no-one would really notice it - when it proved to be a relative hit, they recreated/rerecorded all the samples and reissued the album. I, thankfully, still have my CD version of the original I bought in 2004.
