What I've learned from these series is that Shell Oil is the best oil and zero credit given to the Nissan Patrol.
LOL. It's clearly sponsored. They don't even know what engine's in there. It's a TD42 I6... not a V6.
Are you sure its good? I mean they had to do oil change after 2 days of drive.
@@atommi1 He's being sarcastic about the constant plugging. 😅
They should poor that so performant oil on the road because they did not mention the car. I wonder how the knew that so called performance without a car?
Didn't you know? Your vehicle doesn't matter while off-roading, only the oil does. You could pour Shell Oil into a Prius and it would do better than any truck or SUV with inferior oil.
Gotta love Adrian Brody. He seems really cool
This is one looooooong ad for Shell oils!
And Nissan, but entertaining af
Someone has to pay for the bill of the production.
I think we get that Shell oil works.. As would any other brand of the correct rating.
I should call Shauno and Graham. They need to open the bonnet next time winching.
Haha ma man. These guys bitch and complain. The boys from 4wd action would be loving every minute of it.
I mean, they know that synthetic line doesn’t carry a load, right?? 🤦🏻♂️
Escapes the Predator planet just to be brought back.
Underrated comment 😂
I❤️you Adrien Brody!!!
Who’s v6 is that... try 4.2 inline 6
Amazing that an F1 driver doesn't even know the difference between an inline 6 and V-6
@@Morrissey346 pretty big mistake considering he was probably told what to say and then it went through editing.
@@SimonElenor the narrator repeats it later in the episode. They should have brought Paul Marsh along for the production, ... wait a minute they DID bring him along and still managed to screw fundamentals up!
Love this series, needs to be publicized more!
yes yes
Incredible adventure. Been to Baja 1000 twice and Jeep Weekends in mountains of Pennsylvania, but this is way worse. TV worth watching.
JT
This was awesome!
That reminds me strongly of my workplace in the RDCongo, everyday was an offroad adventure.
It's quite an awesome advertisement for Shell synthetic oils. Cleverly disguised as a 4x4 trip
That dude was fighting Predators group in their jungle ... this journey is no match for him
Predator is the worst movie ever and thats a fact
27:57 - HAHAHAHA my friend does the same! Whenever he has those Excel Gum of Polar Mint flavour, he sneezes 3 times, *_EVERY_* time
I've never seen a more over dramatised 45 Min TV add.
If your here looking for 4dw action look up 4wd 24-7 with Seano and Graham. 👍🏻
Wow fifth gear putting out some crazy good content.
This is crap
7:36 Mika bragging about the beginning of his career, while Adrian was being humble and open.
Adrien: 2003 Winner of the Academy Award for Best Actor at age twenty-nine, in Roman Polanski's The Pianist.
Mika: Competed in Formula One between 1994 and 2002: his best ranking was 10th in the world championship in 1999.
Glad you i wasn't the only one who noticed
and he was racing in ferrari
99 season he started in 3 races with BAR and then he was in ferrari for 6 races replacing injured schumacher.
would have won in germany without classic ferrari team orders.
most of his career hew drove with tyrrell which was unrealiable as fk. then went for arrows which was also unreliable.
2000 season spent in sauber which got him 6 points with the old points system.
he spend his final season in toyota which was also quite unreliable and slow.
I remember Mika Häkinnen but never heard of Mika Salo before 🤷♀️ I guess I always watched Michael Schuhmacher racing 🇩🇪😊
He was forth in Monaco once according to Wikipedia 🤙🤪
Thank you Fifth Gear for finally sharing this masterpiece
Masterpiece of shite! This is total crap
In Australia we call it a weekend camping trip
N the misses drove cause it was a easy track lol
Fucking oath
I know apart from a few nasty creatures its a fuckin jolly. I watched the other film in this series with Tom Hardy and Mika Salo going to the coldest place on the planet, that too was a holiday. Joke advertising shit this is. A tough human endurance test it isn't. Just as staged and as easy as a Top Gear episode but without the jokes.
Same in South Africa lol
I love these 2 together the best one in seen buy far , I haven’t done that shit for years
I wonder if the commentator knows that this vehicle comes with a straight-six engine and not a vee-six.
How selfish of you🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was funny!
4.2l v6 he says, oh god help us all
Not even 5 minutes in and already pissed he said v6!
Yeh well, its Nissan, who cares!
nissan oh no were gonna be walking half way up.
mor fok or lol.
i give props to adrian brody and mika their tough genuine guys
Fab. 👌
More of these driven to extremes please!.
It's a very bold statement to say it's the worlds most dangerous jungle road. You have to travel ALL of the roads in the world to come to that conclusion!
reminds me of the top gear botswana spwcaal and the bolivia special
Miss that show
Adrien is so cool
Is that guy just in all of these to promote oil or what..
@@OnnSight "And here we have dave, the team mechanic"....
"Well, the thing about oil is"...
4.2l v6 LOL! its a In Line six!
Driver, not mechanic, right?!
@@jakeofallterrains9048 Also not a mech, but everyone in the world should be able to see that its a In line 6 just be looking at the intake and exhaust manifold. you can see its inline.... i mean fuck me!
I was going to make this comment. you beat me to it..lol. the steadfast nissan TD42 is an inline-6 indeed. released at the same time toyota's 1HD.
also, look at the snorkel its a fucking sub
xD I was going to comment the same thing
The very LAST capable offroader right from the factory lines. Patrol y61. I've driven y61 offroad, but i owned only y60.. which isn't much different except details that are't important in offroad use :)
This series is basically nothing more than a very elaborate advert for Shell Helix Oil
4.2 V6? Formula One taught him NOTHING!
Adrian was wholesome the other dude just bragged mostly 7:35
3:44 Mo Far Kor, hahahaha
The truck needs locker and taller tires, that said the make and model of tires used “INSA Turbo special track” are the best for the mud. Not sure if they were really that scared of the winch or if this was part of the show.
I had a pink and yellow moth that I found on my deck, so pretty!
Thanks for uploading 😂
Companies should disclose sponsorships, right?
For pandemic times, they sneeze then fist pump lol.
This episode is from 2013 i believe
These two are super cute together the
Grins and banter 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽💯
Why does Mika Salo look like Gordon Ramsey?
Yes! I was noticing that, also.
No A/C for the car? In south east asian forest... Just making the scenes dramatic...only
Unwanted stress on the motor 🤦♂️
I’d reckon that they do this to keep the drivers at one temperature. If you are exposed to two drastically different climates (AC vs jungle heat) this can increase the chances of heat stroke.
I've been into the outskirts of the jungles in Thailand and AC is needed i dont care lol
Yes, if u're 100% sure ur engine has enough power for the extreme slope and mud. Otherwise, u would stop the car, use the winch, maybe dig some mud and waste more time. The air filter also would get wet and dirty, hence A/C would be useless and might be broken after the expedition.
Also, in some extreme desert off road, they dont use A/C as well.
27:57 ME TOO AHHAH
All that winching reminds me of "Cable Hill", named because everyone pulls cable
Hollwood *A* lister 'Henry Cavill'
Hollwood *A* lister 'Tom Hardy'
Hollywood Star 'Adrian Brody' I guess winning an oscar means jack sh!t
the letter listings are based on how much money they make
Synthetic winch lines dissipate energy quickly when they snap and are not very dangerous, also why did they tear up that hill for 30 minutes before busting out the traction ramps?
Nothing beats Rock!
Rock cuts through paper!😅
I had a Nissan Patrol Y60 2.8TD straight six.
The 2.8 TD and the 4.2 TD are the Best engine ever but the TOYOTA 4.0 Diesel good too.
Keep it simple
Great to have been asked to plan and lead this exciting adventure with a fantastic team. For more videos from behind the scenes, as well as other motoring adventures undertaken by expedition specialists Max Adventure, check out our CZcams channel czcams.com/users/driventoextremes
Paul Marsh! Wow
Can somebody please tell me how many times they say monsoon in this video
Lol 50 cars crew with them. Anyone can do it with an army of people behind them!
This is just a commercial (for Shell) but I do like it.
i wish to be part of this team
King Kong was one of the best movies ever
Longest shell commercial I’ve ever seen!
Should visit Australia, we do that stuff in vegetable oil. Too much shell for me
I sneeze twice tooooo
Anybody played the Ulu Sedili drinking game yet?
As the boys embark on their Ulu Sedili expedition on the Ulu Sedili trail to the Ulu Sedili hills, they face many challenges that the Ulu Sedili will throw their way. Will the Ulu Sedili hills defeat them or will they make it to the Ulu Sedili? Let’s find out. Ulu Sedili.
Was worried they wouldn't make it. That is until I saw Paul Marsh.
This is nothing for someone who's walked the jungles of Skull Island and fought Predators on their home planet.
Nice video. They make it a bit dramatic tho. 38° lol
38°c with 80-100% humidity is alot hotter then u think
you didnt change the oil before going in the jungle? Its been only a 100km and you already checking the oil. What kind of cheap oil is that?
Well it's not your average 100km. It's harsh low-speed but high-loads.
Just like how towing with a vehicle dramatically reduces the oil change intervals.
@@boy638 not to harsh
Because we go off road in West malaysia smts we cross river the water does go in to the engin that only show some of the hard part but in real life is alot worst than this
Because this program was sponsored by Shell so they needed to constantly talk about how great their oil is.
When off-roading I always do checks when taking a break. It’s better than ignoring it and end up stranded.
Adrian was lucky to have Mika with him ...
Both of them are lucky to have Paul Marsh on the team.
I have a Nissan Pathfinder, want an Xterra and would love a Patrol
“These creatures have shape teeth” put his finger there to demonstrate
Man if you live in my country (Malaysia) you will be friendly with jungle
Fake drama and oil ad, great documentary...
WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER IF THEY ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT ENGINE THEY HAD, WOULD AT LEAST ADD SOME CREDIBILITY TO THE STORY
I tell people you dont need super wide tires for mud and they all think im stupid. "Wider is better more grip, you float over the mud!"
Just look at tractor tires, look at the tires that these 4x4 jungle experts are using are they wide or narrow!?
The condition is really harsh........ no easy at all to drive thru it.
It's a Mo Far Kor!
Nissan patrol COOL car
Brody should have been on the bonnet cutting through the jungle.
На машине очень интересные номера =0
you call it world's most dangerous Jungle Road ? seems like my playground
Only seem dangerous for those who never drive off road
These videos almost seem to be long Shell Oil and Toyota commercials
I dont get it? Why not keep the AC??? Hahah omg
Sorry can’t watch this! Not enough adverts for me bye now
Perhaps you missed some adverts - watch it again just to make sure ;)
Skip to the end then hit replay. No ads.
Just install AdBlock for free and start watching anything you'd like without ads.
May as well leave the Internet entirely then.
Melville mate I’ve tried all that and more - still gets through on the iPad !!!😡😡😡
How many ads does one video really need ? 😂
AB has faced the predator and King Kong so this is no challenge
The fact that a former f1 driver doesn't see the difference between a v6 and an i6 is kinda sad
So it’s an advert for Shell with hundreds of ads packed into the advert. Zzzzz
Adrien Brody is clearly not the sharpest tool in box. He gave the game away right at the beginning of the video when he thought the vehicle's snorkel meant that the Nissan could wade through water which would be deep enough to reach its roof)
some cars can drive underwater with a snorkle so its not that daft... it depends how the motor is setup. No offense maybe your not the sharpest tool in the box.
There are cars right down the road from me that have snorkels that allow them to drive through water that deep.
@@tristanmeadows No offense taken, but an offroad vehicle's wading depth is usually determined by things like the location of sensitive electronics (for example) within the vehicle..... Of course a snorkel helps with wading but it's also there to move the air intake away from the likes of dust and mud.....
Td42s have fuck all sensitive electronics, sure the dash will stop working if it copped some water but the motor won’t..there mechanically injected they don’t need any electronics to run..plenty of patrols have waded mid way up the windscreen, ooooh snap 🔪
He's an actor not a petrolhead, probably doesn't give two fucks about snorkels. Plus I think he wasn't entirely being serious. Watch him in the movie The Pianist. This is not a guy who is at all dumb.
they should bring a landcruiser.
Racing car driver? 4.2 litre v6? I think not. Straight 6
That bloody oil has done it's job, again!!
These dudes literally have no idea.
I love the series mainly for the adventure aspects. but for god sake why is the narrator so dramatic? let the adventure and situations speak for themselves! The narrator is simply to guide and explain things not utter "life and death" at the end of every sentence
This is not what I qualify as extreme offroading. Difficult yes but extreme no.
V6? I don’t think so
Whats an Adrien Brody?
A Hollywood Actor from New York
@@MonsieurMaskedMan tanks luv
A god
This is so dramatised! I mean they're saying it's hard to drive and the road is smooth.
Imagine Tom Cruise on one of these
they were searching and saving Bear Grylls
