Thank you so much for having a test with the lavalier mic attached! I've been browsing around for a new mic setup and was thinking about normalizing my sound (I want my voice to sound the same if I was recording a video on my computer, through my phone, with a drone or with a portable camera when possible) and this seems like it hits all the right boxes (was previously looking into the Hollyland Lark C1, but this is a huge upgrade). I have little to no experience in sound design, I don't want my mic to be obtrusive in a shot, I didn't want to be switching between a dynamic and a shotgun mic depending on how I'm seated (or standing), also I still had to figure out something for when I'm walking around and this set does it all. Just for some reason nobody was testing the lavalier add-ons, so thank you! And did I understand correctly: does recording on the transmitter itself sound better over the receiver, because that raises the noise floor (or adds noise in general)?

Good to see what is out there. I end up getting the Rode Pros as I dont dip into menus once I have things set and the added accessories included make it work even better for me. 2x$99 lav mics. Being able to lock the lav was super helpful. Also as a perk of my work I got mine for under $290. I can certainly recommend hollyland if folks dont want to shell out $400 though. It appears Hollyland is including 2 lavs for 250, so great deals this season.
Those in the U.K, you can get this kit with two livelier mics for £199. Might be a short term sale, but just received mine, and it sure is great in every way.

As you mentioned, everything that you've ever heard before the last year or so has been 24bit so although it's going to slowly creep into productions, people don't need to drop everything and everything and buy the newest thing ever. Edit: can you make a video on that? I was going to because I know its controversial but you have WAY more audio experience than me!
I’ve had this as an idea for so long but I’m not sure people will click on it lol! I need to think of how to position it to make it something people want to sit through. Maybe showing things that require 32-bit and things that don’t?
I didn’t get an official time on it, but I believe Curtis Judd covered that in his review. I’d recommend checking it out. Not entirely annoying in my opinion, but there’s definitely some latency
I have these and truly love them but what is the output when you turn the dial vs the gain? can't find any answers on this. does that over ride your gain setting?
The microphone gain is the input at the microphone itself, the dial is the output of the receiver. You want to set the gain so it’s not clipping, then get your output (dial) as loud as possible without clipping as well.
thank you so much for replying but I kinda don't get why you need both? I run the mic at 3 and in my sony a7iv at three as well and my audio in fcpx is around minus 12 to minus six at the highest@@randyrektor

I just got these and apparently they have fixed the rec lock issue with a new firmware. That's pretty neat to see

Best review of the mic so far. By the way: there is a firmware update which enables you to lock the button of the transmitter.

Now bad is the latency of the receiver for the audio monitor? I doubt it is zero latency.

How does this compare to DJI mic?
In my experience, the range is much better and the menus are a huge step up. Sound is about equal in my opinion.
