every couple of years i think about this show-
After you posted your last video, I went ahead and binged the entire show. I wish there were a few more episodes to tie up a few loose ends. I wonder what ending for this couple the writer originally envisioned? Also, to me, it would've been interesting to actually see their first meeting, understand them coming to terms personally with their sexuality, etc., but I agree for 2010 Korea it was pretty bold to include such a plot--and show them as good people--not "monsters."
Totally agree! It's unfortunate that because of network restrictions--among other things--the writer couldn't delve deeper into their storyline (also, the show was originally supposed to be 53 episodes but then was extended for 10 extra, which could account for the weird loose ends you mentioned).
@@Pastellyn I didn't know it was extended--that makes a lot of sense, because I feel the romance with the youngest uncle and his "noona" started really late into the run and certain characters seemed to be dropped from the end, e.g., Kyungsoo's daughter, ex-wife, and mother. Thanks for the video/recommendation--I'm looking forward to others you may highlight in the future. It's always nice to find good (or, at least, groundbreaking) representation out there.
The couple was supposed to have the commitment ceremony scene in a church, but that was changed to a forest after the network protested...
