The bad thing about junkyard motors is that unless you can hear it run you have no clue what kind of shape it's in and you might spend hours pulling one to try and put it in your car to find something like rod knock its better to buy a used motor with a warranty and it's not much more expensive
In this video and some of my older videos in my channel, I actually show how to inspect them and what to look for. This Engine came out great, I will upload another video soon. But I get what you mean too.
