Sold Interceptor to get SM650. Feel more in control & much more premium in looks, touch n feel. Interceptor was a tough ride always felt very front heavy maybe because of higher center of gravity. SM650 is just an awesome ride..treat it like a true cruiser by not being a hooligan on speed bumps and it will give back only love to its rider 👍
Pls help me out, I was all set to get the inti but then I test drove (Inti & Classic) back to back & the classic felt more comfortable but since it was only a 5 min test, you'll be able to answer better. I'll be riding long distances only.
Never rode interceptor but last week i have rode super meteor 650 and man what a bike...it handles so better..the only con is the suspension which could have bin a little more on the comfortable side.
It's not too bulky. It's a cruiser. It's MEANT TO BE BULKY. And as far as cruisers go it's definitely on the smaller side of things. Have you seen Harleys and Indians?

@@thepodbaydoorshal , right, but, Harley's and Indian's have more than sufficient power to "propel" the bikes despite their weights. RE super meteor is good but, I wish it had bigger engine (at least 800cc producing 70nm torque and 65bhp power) with weight being the same!

@@kristrails07 no man i dont go for long rides my motorcycle is my ride to the office and i wont even choose sm650 for long rides cos of its weight and power to weight ratio for longer and comfortable rides i would invest more and would buy a good tourer bike and yeah interceptor is suitable for short rides from 50 to 100 kms,sm650 is a comfortable machine for long rides but not of my choice 😊

@gogolnico5922 potholes must avoided. Speed breakers fine for me. Other road conditions you feel the road but good thing is you did not feel the side effects like pain in neck or in your body either. I rode in every road from bumpy to smooth.best bike ever for me.
When I selected the interceptor as the bike I wanted to buy, the super meteor had not come out yet. I might have chosen the latter if it had been available already; I’m glad I bought the interceptor after all because I love how it rides. However, I changed the rear shocks for Tec lowering shocks, and also the stiff seat for a plushier one. Now the seat height is 2 inches below standard and much more comfortable at the stops, where I can stand flat-footed. Thanks for your informative review.
Roadstar vs Cruiser and total value for money, I have both the older Interceptor and the newer version and the SM 650 as well, very different for the the purpose one is using it, the older Interceptor is not for absolute beginners, but the new one relatively new riders will feel more in control, and for SM650, its marvellous (at the price point) and of course if one puts in RRP exhausts and performance air filters and in the older one change to alloy wheel with maybe Ralco tubeless - all three are great, apart from the Hunter I guess, all RE bikes are superb at the price point. Even the new Himalayan 450 and Newly launched Bullet or even the reborn classic, the newer versions of GTs, Signal series and the newly launched Shotgun all are great! Especially if one is tall enough to handle these - Hats off to RE for the differential factors they put into each of their bikes. The Hunter is the only one I had problems with the test ride cause it’s too low for my structure I guess, if one is looking for the “X” factor then no doubts - GTs are a sure shot “go to option”
would be good to have subtitles in english because the indian english accent is some times very difficult to understand, its just drives you crazy. But excellent video and presentation thanks a lot!
The tripper seems more like a gimmick and really isnt needed. I prefer the interceptor instrument cluster. The power to weight ratio and gas mileage would be in favor of the interceptor. The seating triangle can be adjusted on the interceptor if desired. Suspension options can be had for interceptor. Interceptor seems like a better more practical do all bike. Purchase a lightly used interceptor and make changes as money or needs are convenient and you end up with a tailor bike for the same as a new shotgun or super meteor.

Bruh this comment feels like an official application ☠️ If you're thinking of buying a RE 650 bike and you know you'd have to spend much more money on fuel what with a price tag of around 4 lakhs I don't really think 65k should be that big of a deal to you. Maintenance costs would also be similar. Just take a ride and buy what you like 🤷
It's not quite a fair or complete comparison because the original Interceptor looks better than either (with the obvious exception of the Super Meteor's rounded indicators and stop light)

I think I speak about this. I have an INT650 (Black Ray). I have had this bike for around 2 and a half months and I have clocked around 3.1k km in it. In the city you will definitely feel it (in bumper to bumper Bengaluru traffic). I would really like to ask anyone riding this bike to wear jeans as it would give some protection. See the bike heats up, but you really get used to it. Honestly speaking the bike is a beast. The torque is amazing and the top speed can give you thrills (I have reached the speed of 170kmph on my bike). If you want to buy the bike, I would definitely ask you to go for it.
it all comes to personal preference, if you like some bike don't say it to anyone, just buy it cause you like it, not your friend or anybody. Then show that bike to your friend or anybody, you will be much happier with your decision anyways have a good day
I rode Interceptor till date it was the smoothest bike and joy to ride it...even in 1st gear it was smooth like any normal bike you ride in the 5th gear... 2023 interceptor is beyond...
Hi All, I'm planning for a new bike confused in between himalayan 450 and Super Meteor 650. I know it's odd to compare an ADV with a cruiser. I'm receiving different opinions from friends and family. Requirement: 1. Need a bike for family of 3(Me,wife and a baby)- received comments that himalayan pillion seat height space will be bit difficult for wife and baby. Suggested super meteor celestial variant as seat is wider than other two and backrest is provided. 2. Very minimal off road use. More city and highways. - Suggested super meteor since it's good for highway rides. 3. Looking for daily commute to office and home. - bit sceptical about engine heat in city traffic and heard that meteor chainspoket and back breakpads doesn't last morethan 3k kms. @@hyperloop9589 yes for long ride it is very bad but there are a ton of brands&locals seat manufacturers providing amazing seats Royal Enfield itself provides a touring seat which is very good ( I would suggest go for Gt 650 touring seat it looks and feels the beat) .
Went ahead with the booking, it's around two month in Gurugram if you book with their customized plan (20k booking, non refundable) and if you go their normal route, they're saying it's 11 months. I booked celestial blue and somehow it's showing a tentative date of 31st July 2023. Hopefully I'll get it soon.
Love my interceptor but why have they decided to make it look cheap and nasty with black engine and exhausts stickers on the tank rather than the enfield badge and them awfull alloy wheels

I test rode both these bikes but I will stick with my meteor 350❤

That’s the whole point of a cruiser design wise, it’s supposed to be bulky as it can be.
Bought interceptor 650 in 2022 if given a choice now between super meteor and int650 i would choose again interceptor 650 but a different colour 😊

I upgraded from R15 V3 BS6 to RE Interceptor 650 Black Ray. Oh Boy! what an upgrade I just got. ❤❤❤

Royal enfield should atleast provide usd forks, led indicators, better tyres and a comfortable seat.
Super Meteor 650's mileage is barely 22 kms and thats the most you could bargain for a cruiser.
