It was composed by the superb composer Astor Piazzola for part of the soundtrack of a movie in his native Argentina, and it's original title is "Tanti anni prima" ("Many years before"). 💖

Young but greeting there. Surpasses so far Hauser, the pop artists, that lacks Lena's command of the most intense instrument, the cello. Bravo Lena .
Stjepan Hauser is, no argument, a superb and world-class cellist, but I wish that he would go easier on the somewhat-distracting "theatrics" and facial expressions. His music speaks volumes, all by itself. Oh, well...
Another equally beautiful performance of "Tanti anni anni prima" is by the superb Slovenian violinist Anja Bukovic on my good friend Primož Zevnik's "Zevnikov" CZcams channel. I can simply never view either her version or their lovely performance here of Señor Piazzola's masterpiece too often. 💖
I started a reply to your comment, but for some reason it did not go out and was lost. In summary I was saying that Hauser, in order to fill stadiums that Concert Halls don't any more, unfortunately. Hauser plays popular pieces, most of them not even of the classical music genre. I have yet him to perform - maybe you can direct me to Hauser's recordings or videos of the following (interpreted by Hauser) - real Cello classical pieces like:
Schuman's Cello Concert,
Shostakovich Cello Concertos (especially No. 2, Dvořák Cello Concerto, Saint-Saëns: Cello Concerto No. 1, just to name a few.
Can you name 10 contemporary Cellist that are better than Hauser?I'll give you 5 of the top:
1.Mstislav Rostropovich.
2. Yoyo Ma (who at some point fell in the hands of popularity-Stadium Filler Producers)
3. Hildur Guðnadóttir
4. Nadège Rocha
5. Sol Gabetta

I used to learn how to play the cello until my tutor refused to teach me. Then I went into schizoaffective with prevalent depression. I always admire those who never gave up on such a beautiful instrument.

Hi Lena...hi Tobias. Hoping you're both well 8 years after this beautiful performance. You both play with such perfect understatement proving the old saying that 'less is more'. Your arrangement has become my favourite. Often the cello part is in a higher register and to my ear your lower register Lena just resonates so well. Is there sheet music for this arrangement that you know of for cello and piano...in this key and register ? If you do know I'd be much obliged. Thank you again for your upload which I listen to at the close of most days...it sets my heart in order.
