And I do it the same way when I live in the US. Do more basic work to help yourself, such as preparing Chinese notes or speaking Chinese (simple words) when you deal with something at the shop.
Remember, English is not the Taiwanese official language yet, so people should use appropriate speed when they speak to each other in English, and this is the best way to help each other understand. Therefore, it is the kind of respect and manners that are needed as well.

Hi, it’s me on the video! I think I wasn’t understood well. I can’t speak every language of the world, and Taiwan is not the first or last country in going to live in. It’s my lifestyle, I did live in Malta without Maltese, Netherlands without Dutch, Spain without Spanish (the last I learned a bit) so please, don’t feel disrespected because I don’t speak Chinese.
When it comes to work culture, many people are referring to the situation in Poland, and telling me to go back to my country if I don’t like Taiwan. Guys, I love Taiwan! Just because I say that for example Italian food is the best doesn’t mean that I hate the cuisine of all the other countries 😃 I lived in few countries, I traveled more than 20, and each of them has something special. Everything I said here is just an opinion from a simple Polish girl that traveled a bit in the world, I do not complain on Taiwan. If I didn’t like it here, I would not be here! ❤🇹🇼❤️

Thanks a lot for expressing yourself well. There's one thing you have to remember, that's also something I've learnt in a hard way.
If people watch the entire video, they'll have a proper idea about you and the things we were talking about.
Unfortunately vast majority of the audience watch it partially and might have a wrong impression about it. So please don't worry about those comments and remember that this video has 98% like to dislike ratio which means people like what they heard and our conversation. Most of the comments are positive and they welcome you to Taiwan ♥️♥️♥️

You complain and compared too much… if I didn’t read your comment, I thought you were a freaking racist… if I was living in Poland would I encounter racism?? Sure I would, but would it make me hate it.. no! Cos there are a lot of nice people in Poland too. If I was in Poland talking crap about your country on a CZcams video, I’m sure a lot of people would hate me. Try your best to learn the language. If I was in Poland I would definitely try my best to learn Polish. Now that you are in Taiwan , naucz się mandaryńskiego. jesteś śliczną dziewczynką, bądź bardziej pozytywnie nastawiona, napij się herbaty z mlekiem bąbelkowym. cieszyć się kulturą.❤

    • @ZuzaTomczuk
      @ZuzaTomczuk Před 5 měsíci +1

Freaking racist? I came to the end of the world, I'm paying taxes, I have YT channel where I’m talking of Taiwan, I appeared in Polish newspaper where I was talking about the life in here promoting your country, and you call me a racist? Believe me, if I was one, I would stay in my country and never thought of leaving. When you travel, you have 2 options:
      1. Shut up, say that everything is perfect, the best, you just love it.
      2. Be honest.
I am an honest person. I love Taiwan, it’s the most convenient place I have ever been, I feel here safer than ever, people are lovely, very hardworking and after all even though I mentioned on the video, that I suffered to find a hairdresser, the haircut I finally got was the best I ever had in my life. The quality of service is outstanding. But it doesn’t mean that it’s the easiest place to live in other terms, for example yesterday I found it hard to even print something in 7/11 because of the communication issues. And I absolutely don’t blame Taiwanese people for that. I’m just telling about my positive shocks as well and what I find hard in Taiwan. And it’s normal, I’m sure if you went to Poland you would also miss some things from your home, or notice things that are better in the places you have been before. Is it bad to talk about it? No, actually I would be very curious to listen what Taiwanese find hard in Poland. And I recommend you do the same, life is much easier when you don’t take every random comment as an attack.

It reminds me of Namewee's one song "Tokyo Bon 2020".
The story is when Namewee travels in Japan but can't understand Japanglish.
In this video's comments, some Japanese say if you can't communicate with Japanese in English, you can use "Google Translate" or other translation tools......
(Some people are joking that "Fragile" is insulting Chxxa, "Ghost Island" is insulting Taiwan, and "Tokyo Bon 2020" is insulting Japan.)
Some Japanese shops do not accept foreign customer, because their staff can only speak Japanese.
In the last year, one Japanese restaurant does not accept Chinese and Korean customers causing big issues on the internet. Some CZcamsrs are discussing if it's racist or not.
However, the restaurant's owner's wife is not in good health, he is afraid Chinese and Korean customers might bring the virus......
Back to the hairdressers, some might be afraid if they can't fully communicate with you, you are not satisfied with the haircut, it will be very troublesome.
She can bring a Mandarin-speaking friend with her to the hairdresser.
