That Spring I would have been 21and I had included this song on one of the mixed cassette tapes I made to take with me to work the second Summer in a row in Portugal at a Youth Hostel on the beach where I was the Assistant Head Chef. The Winters, I worked cooking in a restaurant in Winter Park, Colorado; a ski resort town. Those were the days!! We 🎶partied like it was 1999 🎶 (have you reacted to any Prince and the Revolution songs yet? Like "When Doves Cry" from his 1984 Album Purple Rain?) Anyway... Somehow the calendar is telling me I've put in 60 years on this planet so far...life is a grand adventure! Listen again to this amazing song and singer of Simply Red, but the version from 1985. Pure talent. Pure voice. Remarkable how he sounds so young even into his 60's. One of the most underrated 1980's singers.
