Hitler's escape route did not include escaping via U-boat from Barcelona. He was flown from the military airport south of Barcleona to the Canary Islands; specifically Fuerteventura. On Goggle Maps one can still see the airstrip he landed on at the southern tip of Jandia. The best available evidence suggests Hitler boarded a U-boat there for points south. Hitler's escape route did not include escaping via U-boat from Barcelona. He was flown from the military airport south of Barcleona to the Canary Islands; specifically Fuerteventura. On Goggle Maps one can still see the airstrip he landed on at the southern tip of Jandia. The best available evidence suggests Hitler boarded a U-boat there for points south. There is also tantalizing evidence that the trip to Argentina may have been supplemented by a captured French sea plane. ATB to you.
