  • This video describes the home-built, low-speed wind tunnel used in LabRat Scientific aerodynamics experiments. The video is intended to show various aspects of simple wind tunnel design and construction as an inspiration for teachers and students to build there own experimental device. The basic elements of the tunnel are described and an example of a mechanical lift measurement device is offered. This video is intended for high school teachers and students.

Wow everything you explain is advanced but u made them comprehensible. Thank you. The motor speed indicator amazed me 💡I think it would be great if you write books on this stuff .

Hi, thank you for this awesome video. I work for the Euro Space Center in Belgium and i occupie the rocket activities with children during the school holidays. We where thinking of having a wind tunnel in our rocketroom. In my search i came out on your video which is very interesting and exactly what we are looking for. Would you have any buildingplans of this windtunnel so that we can ask our technical staff to make one?

I respect your project but there are two major mistakes
    1. You can't increase the airspeed using divergence nozzle. In fact, it will be even slower.
    2. It is far from accurate to use DC+propeller to measure air speed. You shall use pitot-static tube.
    3. The way you use to measure lift also not right but still very impressive.
    Nice project anyway!
