Shimizu is an area with many strong soccer high schools and professional soccer players, so the monuments on street corners are soccer balls. How many of you have noticed the soccer balls lining the curbs?

Japan looks amazing - so clean, organised, SAFE and well mannered. In a way, that's what you'd expect from their stereotype, but not the beauty or the kindness / soul of the people. I love that you've got close to the 'real' lives of the places you visit - it's so much more meaningful that just excursion after excursion where you are fed a diet of gift shops and homogenous experiences. I'm looking forward to Osaka!
Our journey to Japan was a fascinating experience, different from what we had anticipated. The most striking aspect was the impeccable cleanliness that pervaded everywhere. Even large commercial trucks on the roads gleamed, their windows spotless. Smoking on the streets is prohibited; smokers are expected to use designated glass-enclosed areas. This level of regimentation extends throughout various facets of daily life. Additionally, the warmth and friendliness of the people were remarkable. Customer service in Japan is unparalleled, consistently exceeding our expectations. Japan truly stands out as a unique and admirable country.

Yes it was, I had the cherry flavor, not brave enough for the shrimp or salt flavored one.
I don't understand I thought you were going to the mountain.
Not from a cruise ship visit. The best one can do is to go to a nearby place with a better view. The haze never did lift up. The mountain is far away for very short port visit.
