- Alpha Primus was the name of the being who served as the prototype for all other Primaris Space Marines in the Warhammer 40k setting. He now serves as the personal assistant and agent of Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl, the creator of the Primaris Astartes.
"Genetic self destruct" is now the most terrifying three words I've ever heard.
Doofenschmirtz would be proud 😄
Having read the Great Work and Genefather, I seem to have missed this, Bile extracted both progenoids and injected Primus with HIS safeguard that would kill Primus if Cawl blasted Bile. Was this some other book or short story I missed?
Classic example of a misinforming those who didnt read the books.@@BArro390
Eversor assassins are actual living bombs. If they die, the chemicals in their body detonate. Even in death, they keep killing.
Only 10 or 20 years from being a reality
Both Cawl and Fabious consider him perfect.
Fabulous BBQ
He’s a step towards perfection. A being that lives in constant pain and anguish can hardly be considered perfect. His suffering is such that he harbors some level of genuine hatred towards his master
@@epicwaba6424 Surprised he hasn't turned to Chaos yet.
@@elitegamer9310 In Genefather they hinted at his thoughts of betraying Cawl, but no signs of Chaos yet. I think it would be neat if their relationship paralleled that of the Emperor’s with the primarchs, since Alpha Primus is essentially the “primarch” of the primaris, with Cawl as their creator. I think it would be a bit uninteresting if he just fell to Chaos like Horus did, but there’s definitely a setup for a larger conflict between the two. I look forward to seeing what Guy Haley does with the third book
@@epicwaba6424Primus saw the Emperor in the warp didnt he?
That time when the CGs tryna touch Primus, a phoenix appeared.
Man after Fabius heard Cawl say he is my son he went like: That really hits me where I live.
If the 20 primarchs were made from different aspects of the emperor, and this guy is made from different aspects of all 20 primarchs. Then is he in a sense, a small deformed emperor imitation?
That's what many have suggested. Flawed attempt at cloning/recreating the Emperor. Or a new Primarch.
@@PumpkinHoard recreating the emperor is the highest heresy!
And like the Emperor he suffers a lot.
@@TheDBZtler Bro, is Cawl
Exactly where my head was going, maybe not the Emperor or Primarchs but Cawl had to be the one to question this
He doesn't have a genetic defect that makes him suffer, rather his soul is not perfectly inside his body. His soul spills out of his body that makes it very painful for him and warp travel affects him the most as some portion of his soul is directly exposed to warp outside
He is a unit of a man. He is like a named clone trooper, plot armor, inmmortal.
An absolute unit
Alpha Primus...
Alphaprimus...
Alpharimus...
Alpharius...
_I am Alpharius_
Glad to know I wasn't the only one who saw that
@@RichardX1 I'm honestly surprised no one else had pointed it out before.
Alpharius was named that by the Emperor since he was the first Primarch found. Alpharius continued this by giving his twin brother the name Omegon. As he was the last Primarch found. I guess Cawl had a similar idea with “Alpha Primus”
Made me chuckle. :)
MASSIVE SPOILER:
Dorn kills one of the twins right at the end of the Heresy, while the Emperor and Sanguinius are fighting Horus.
His corpse would be the perfect testbed for Cawl.
Cawl was so dedicated to making his own Primarch that he even gave his creation the mandatory massive daddy issues!
"All 20 legions"
So Cawl has the geneseed of tbe 2nd and the 11th?
The lost & forgotten… but Cawl and Bile seem to know…
Well there are two parts to this.
1. Cawl had the sangprimus portum which gave him access to a perfect genetic sample of each primarch
2. Even though the lore is clear that the primarchs were expunged from imperial records, it is known that their legions were divided up and rolled into the other existing legions especially the ultramarines. Likely this means some of their genetic heritage is still floating around crushing xenos and defending humanity somewhere
@@edlippincott6205100% that's why we have so many strange ultramarine successors same as imperial fists like the white templars who have gone on a crusade to find out whos gene seed they actually have
@@Undertacossthe magna marta was the relic inside the sangprimus portum
Yes. Guilliman gave those to him
I don't read the books but either Fabius or Cawl had to think like a guy would
" Ok i got a huge ass puzzle and a bunch of pieces are missing, but one way or another im gonna make these Fuckers FIT!!"
Man...they wish they had a corner piece to start working from....and all the pieces look like the the trash they used to cut them out
More like one piece from 20 puzzles that he somehow got to fit together in a twisted chimeric abomination of all 20 puzzles.
"ASTARTES ROLL OUT!"
I really hope they don’t let this character just slip into memory and forget he exists. He seems like he could be a big plot point
So Alpha Primus is like the primaris equivalent of Leetu?
Yup, only he's a good son of Cawl instead of an Erda Simp.
@@randomcenturion7264 one is in constant pain and hates life. The other is clapping cheeks of a lonely perpetual for thousands of years. Can you blame the guy?
@@N0T-A-B0Tyou do realize he canonically saw her as his mom, right?
@@MichaelBW-bn9gf even better ;)
@@randomcenturion7264 I mean what's Alpha Primus actually done?
Leetu literally squared up to God Horus during the final duel between Horus and Big E...
Oc Crawl would slap a ™️ on every organ 😂
Goodly explained!
Im gonna call him ultraultramarine
That book goes so much deeper... Cawl's own DNA is a part of Alpha Primus' geneseed. Cawl made his own son... literally...
Im just in awe how primus just let bile get so close to extracting his glad. Knowing he could have torn bile down to the molecular level if he wanted
He did extract it though.
Iirc Primus was defeated really badly by Bile and was almost on the verge of death before Belisarius Cawl came.
@@tmm8837 I thought bile didn't get his geneseed
@@MrG0DW1N I don't understand how. Primus had Primarch geneseed. How is bile gonna manhandle him. To me it's poor writing.
Him having primarch geneseed doesn't make him a primarch, it'd make him an astartes. Since he was stuffed with all 20, plus being a primaris, he was a really juiced up astartes, but probably still not even a quarter as strong as a primarch. We also haven't seen him do much in terms of psychic ability. He's definitely a powerful psyker as well, but he's not the strongest. Bile would really just need to corner and overwhelm him with an insane number of his creations (which I think is what he actually did), some type of paralytic agent on top of that and alpha primus wouldn't be any threat past that point.
(And additionally, Bile fought alpha primus on a ship, not the best place to use widespread destructive psychic abilities)
Bile: Your son's lookin like a snacc
Cawl: 🤖
Cawl be like "MY TOY OR NO TOY BILE. DON'T TOUCH MY SHIT!"
Side note: would really suck to be Cawls Astartes plaything for 10k years.
Glad to see he’s got the classic unpainted grey armor. Just as James Workshop intended.
Extracting gene seed is crazy
"Bare grey ceramite"
Holy Terra hes an Unpainted.
Wait I've read genefather and didn't see anything about the genetic self destruct function. I thought it was a big oversight from Cawl and a big win for Bile and potentially opening the way for chaos primaris marines.
Is this revealed somewhere else?
That's what I was thinking cause I never heard of the organ self destruct either and bile definitely got away with the genseed
Yea it was actually the other way around so bile could escape from cawl, holding primus's life hostage
@pkerch00b1 The device that Bile attached to Primus, that would literally melt him from the inside, that would deactivate once he got into the warp. I feel a Cawl/Bile broship coming on. Probably how Big E gets truly rezzed and/ or ascended.
Bile sucks out the gene-seed(praise be to space king)...without Cawl doing anything.
I don't know what is worse that he is so mutilated or the fact he probably would survive the self destruction.
I guess this is the Primaris Grey Knight.
With the grey armor I wonder if he’s Leetu. One of the first Space Marines who had no primarch, now Primarisified in this weird way.
Your Best Homemade Successor Chapters
If you could combine Primarch geneseeds, say from 2-- 4, in order to make the overall best legion or single warrior, are you going for theme abilities or personality traits
Is it a Chapter already famous like Angry Marines or something you just made up
Examples
Ultramarine, White Scars, Imperial Fist, yes boring but genetically stable and just a buffed reliable super soldier across the field
Dark Angles, White Scars, ....Raven Guard still genetically stable but stealth, speed, and all around capable, call them Gryffin something
Salamanders, Iron Hands
nothing they can't build, nothing they can't tank, bigger tougher than most others, call them Steel Scales
Iron Warriors + Imperial Fists to both be able to create and destroy, add on the Ultrmarines for logistics + most of them are scholars and meant to be protecting the citizenry + salamanders for compassion + thousand sons for pskyer potential = Basically the ultimate civilisation building murder warriors
I actually homebrewed something like this, a primaris chapter of space wolves, dark angels and thousand sons chimeric geneseed who are the ultimate hunters of the fallen (not intentionally of course, cause cawl doesnt know about the fallen). The heightened senses of the sons of russ, the battlefield mastery of the sons of el’johnson, and the uncanny ability to use the warp to scry for fallen.
Iron warriors who are extremely stable and blood angel how would they interact with eachother would it be like the Lamenters who don't have the issue ever other blood angel has
Fabius Bile did take Primus' geneseed, though. The genetic self-destruct was a thing was actually a dead-man switch thing that would inject acid into Primus' body if Cawl killed Fabius. He got what he wanted in the end, and dipped.
Good ol' Bile more or less played Cawl and Primus like a fiddle the entire time the two were against one another. He outplayed Cawl in what Fabius truly wanted, and outplayed Primus in a fight (with help).
And because of this, there can (and allegedly are) Chaos Primaris Marines. One appears in the newest Emperor's Children book.
He is not half a primarch if he realizes what he truly is and how to use his powers he might be stronger than a primarch
So basically, he made a Thunder Warrior.
wait ALL 20?
Even... THOSE two?
Special geneseed, turbo psyker, grey armour. He's a primaris grey knight.
Oh my, its Jimmy spacemarine
Wait, all 20 twenty primarchs? How the hell did Cawl get access to the lost primarchs’ geneseed?!
Sangprimus Portum most likely.
He's bigger and stronger than any primaris, he has exceptional psychic abilities, and can't be captured by an enemy, sure sounds like a "failure" to me
So He is badically the space marine that people bring to the tabletop without painting it
The unfinished Legion is Canon noch! :D
And what’s worse… his armor is _unpainted._
If this man suffers so much to become the new vessel for the emperor, I would be pissed because the emperor has been protecting him for years every time he goes into the Warp the emperor is just like I got your back, lil bro
I thought Bile did take his whatever gland and left?
what failed?
@@AlphagonOmegarius i think the pain comes from his Soul not seting right in his body not a Physical one if i remember right
His soul, his body barely contains it, like a picture not fitting a frame, this causes him constant pain and suffering
@@Felici4baddonno the soul is simply misplaced it fits its just that Cawl fucked up, and now every time he traverses the warp instead of his body and soul being overlapping together, you can see that it’s slightly out of place like when you have 3D googles that it’s enough to cause unbearable pain, if it was too weak to be contained he would have popped a long time ago.
@@nikolaivanov7400
Ah thank you for the correction, I missunderstood it then
Is there any images of Porter yet?
His name sounds like it came out of transformers
So just, the Emperor's marine
So he's basically a discount Custodies?
Weird, cause his progenoid gland was definitely removed by Bile
...20? Did Bile know that?
Primarch of the Primaris
Anyone forgetting how it
How a child needs to be compatible with the genes seed. The best you can get is 40 or even extremely rarely 70 and above.
So even if he had alpha primes gene seed you would need to find someone with genetic code that’s able to handle most of that primarch dna.
Nah he can just separate their DNA
Well spoken ty
reminds me of this one modder that added malware into his shader mod that'll f@@k up your system if you look into the code.
This guys sounds like main character material! Is there any good stories regarding him? Or more info?
Mostly everything about him comes from the book genefather.
Isn't alpha Primus cawls actual son too? Or did I come across some incorrect info
Is this before or after Bile claimed that Cawl's work was derivative and not worth noting?
Isn't his soul also seated improperly?
So whats his progenitor gland
Yeah, but he lost from Fabius......how was that a possibility.....
Is this marine still alive?
Bile did eventually get Primus
The Frankenstein of space marines 🤷
So he made Angel 2.0?
Yea , im going to stick to 1st ed lore I think
hmm idk sounds like an asspull
So basically a fucked up grey knight
How the fuck fabius bodied him? He’s more powerful than fabius plus he’s a psyker
The biggest mistake in 40K made for profit and with a idiotic lore. Not to mention the horrible homogenization all Marine Chapters are undergoing. Primaris Marines are one of the bigger if not biggest issues that damage 40K post 7th ED.
Gotta love the classic trope of the "failed experiment" that is actually more powerful than the successful ones. Why don't they just repeat this "failure" and have a much more powerful army?
Thunder Warrior Syndrome.
They were theoretically superior but practically much harder to produce at scale, less controllable, and less effective in critical areas despite being overall superior.
All 20? Yeah he's not real. I don't buy it
Some theorize he's Sharrowkyn.
The saddest, oldest and most powerful space marine. He's the best thing we have to the Emperor in the 41st millenium. I'd also like this opportunity to demonstrate hate towards magnus the red for being a consistent failure and has accomplished nothing in his life.
All new from Games Workshops... Ultra Ultra Primary Primaris so you can replace all your space marine models... again!
