It's kinda interesting how it starts off pretty nostalgic for the 1990s with the 1960 fonts and designs ( "Mars or bust" "Lunar Lunch Shoppe" and the floating signs) but then enters the CGI world of the "future" (the 1990s future that is). "It doesn't look like any place I've ever seen before"
I have incredibly fond memories of this scene; I love the song like crazy, and the CGI really worked for the scene. I also never forgot about the "Orbiting Ore Asteroid"; never did, dead serious.
When are we going to be futuristic like the Jetsons. Heard the Jetsons live in the year 2001 2002 and 2062. 2062 sounds about right. ill be 75 around that time
I dug up the VHS video of recently. Then found it again on Netflix. I couldn't believe how much 80's influence there was. Oh the memories, I remember seeing this in the theaters.
George: "Don't be so glum, Elroy. With my new job, I can set my own hours. We'll have lots of extra time together." Elroy: "Then you can help me perfect my Elroy elevator shot?" George: "Son, we'll make you a spaceball star!" 🧒🧒
The 90s was a VIBE. I miss it. 😢
This movie has everything! Awesome animation, fun and familiar characters and stellar music! I dig it!
I used to love this as a kid. I used to wish I was in a futuristic time like that.
I Remember Watching The Jetson's Movie At My Grandma's When I Was 7, And I Still Do.
Yeah, it's like 80's and 90's music came back in the future!!

George: "Look, there's the Orbiting Ore Asteroid, and there's the new plant!"
Jane: "Your new plant, Mr. Vice President!"

I'm actually watching this movie right now. Can't belive I still got the VHS.
Man I wish I could get this on DVD
Me neither
I haven't seen this movie since I was about 6 or so. This really brings back the memories! I've gotta track it down now ^^;
Its hard to believe I still have this movie on VHS, I wish they still made movies like this.
wow this movie was way ahead of its time
This animation is GREAT!
Did 80s music make a comeback in the late 21st century?
Then go out, find whoever stole your tape and demand them to give it back. 'Cause nobody steals a childhood movie ever!
@TeamRocket2010 I still have the VHS as well. By the way, the CGi work on this film is magnificent, at least for 1989 or 1990.
It's true. Patric Zimmerman must have been a heavy smoker between The Jetsons and Metal Gear Solid.
wow with all of the CG environments i'll bet the budget really went down the crapper
This Is How 2013 Should of Been like. Well Actually 2000 2001
Anthony Walker: And that's why I have the movie right here at home!
The 3d effects for this movie made way for the Beast Wars. You can't beat the 3d shows of the 1990's.
2:02 lol they switched seats somehow

@queenkong23 I bought the widescreen DVD at FYE yesterday. It was listed at $14.99, but it was on sale apparently, so it only cost me exactly $7.48.
Man, I can't believe Elroy is Revolver Ocelot.
0:09- If you say so, Not-George O'Hanlon.
Man someone please upload the whole movie?
Reminds me of Straight Up by Paula Abdul.
This song is practically interchangable with 'Stright up' by Paula Abdul.
