It is pretty difficult! It's easy to be like, yeah, maybe just less today and we start tomorrow. I basically had to time travel to quit. Put my ass on lockdown and just slept for a few days to get by the hardest bits.

@@NewportRed100s , it defo was a huge boon to the entire process. That, and patches. Idk if you've ever used them before, but they're awesome. Too awesome.... I would suggest putting one on in the morning and not too late in the day. They can really disrupt your sleep. I ended up kinda just swapping addictions for a while because they give you absolutely insane dreams. A lot of people don't like it for that reason. I would also only get like, 4-5 hours of sleep on them. I guess good for sleep schedule adjustments 😅
Getting something to occupy your mouth with, too, is mad handy. I did the nicotine gum for a bit, until I switched to just regular ass gum.
I'm sorry for the, "who fkn asked" deluge of info, but you might even wanna check to see if your state offers free help with quitting, as they can send you gum and patches for a while, and mine even offered coaches to chat with. I didn't use the coaching, but it was nice it was available. They would call and check on my progress every so often, which was really nice to feel like someone else was in your corner, you know?
Yeah.... Lol your handle and pic seems like a haunting vestige after you quit. I guess it depends on your perspective of the whole thing. Will you look upon it and feel cravings, or relief you found your strength to be rid of your smokey companions?

As a former smoker that switched to vaping when my daughter was born i can confirm, im not trying to look cool, im trying to not smell like shit and make my family sick.. kids vaping is probably not good... But when my parents were kids they smoked and when i was kid we smoked so at least it's much better than that? You can definitely tell when people think they are cool vaping and other people who just vape as if it never happened

36:30 damn that hits different lmao, i graduated with over a 3.5 GPA so i got a special letter by my name on the graduation booklet thing, and i was even worse. i smoked weed nearly every day basically the last 3 years of high school, i really started going every single day during the 2nd to last year. smoke with the homies or take an edible before school, do the work, go to lunch and smoke more and maybe buy a cart off one, and then finish the day and go to practice.
i really do think weed aided my abilities in swimming this last year, before a race just hit the cart a couple times, cough to clear out your lungs and breathe clearer, then take deep breaths. thats what i did every time and i definitely improved. i mean those kids are addicted to caffeine and pre-workout, im just addicted to weed instead. and i only smoked sativa or hybrid, indica had a more negative effect because i would feel a lot less energetic and after the whole school day, i was already drained.
i really only smoke now when i need to do shit, cause otherwise with my adhd, i dont feel much motivation to do things on my own, so the weed kinda helps me put that to the side and just do what i need to do, especially if its a physical task such as yardwork or something. like its not that i dont want to do it, its just sometimes i cant. idk, i know it sounds weird, but if i want to finish something but my body doesnt know where to begin, i start to feel overwhelmed. the weed kinda just puts a sheet over it so that its not like right in front of me and i can ignore it easier.
