Something else that i think is ironic. In hindu religion, Indra The thunder god fought lord shiva . Lord shiva defeated him easily without fail which kind of resembles sukuna and kashimo. There's just levels to this.

My only gripe with the manga is that we never saw gojo and kashimo interacting. Both dubbed the strongest in their respective eras and we didn't get to see them interact. Gojo during his fight with sukuna mentioned having special training so IF gojo appears and IF we do get a flashback, i would imagine that kashimo would be angry that gojo would get to fight him first.

Kashimo is a great character despite a segment of the communities seeming crusade to paint him otherwise. He not only has some of the most intense fights in the series, but one of the best endings of any character from their POV. Kashimo was looking for answers on how to empathize with those who constantly found themselves at his mercy, how to relate to those he struck down in a flash, and Sukuna showed him this by going all out and striking him down swiftly. Kashimo was too dangerous to be left alive for long, and comparing his fight to Gojo's is simply laughable given the main reason that fight went on for so long was specifically Gojo's broken Infinity and Six Eyes AND Sukuna's chosen strategy for combating it requiring such length. Kashimo got his fight with Sukuna. He got his answers. He got everything he wanted.
Kashimo was a badass and served not only as a vehicle for us to get more information on how Sukuna views the world, but as a bridge between Gojo and Sukuna, the purgatorial middle ground between answering the loneliness of the strongest by helping others get to your level (Gojo), and abandoning humanity entirely (Sukuna).
He’s trash bro. His one time ct is the Walmart version of guy sensei’s 8th gate. He was a character gege regretted writing and killed him whilst rushing the story.
Oh and the character design for his ct was shit too. Glazed for no reason.

Even after witnessing the fight against Gojo, Kashimo just went straight for his prey.
There's a moment in which you realize when you lost. Unlike Jogo, there was nothing left of Kashimo.
He died as he livwd, fighting against sorcerers.

As far as kashimo? Kashimo didn’t understand Sukuna. Kashimo still wanted to make meaningful connections and NOT live isolated. Kashimo felt what Gojo felt. Hence why Sukuna told kashimo that he was greedy like Gojo, he wanted to have his cake and eat it too. You can’t be the strongest while simultaneously ALSO focusing on building bonds. To build bonds and friendships, one needs to be selfless. One has to be able to put others first, before themselves And often. to be the strongest in Sukuna eyes, is To walk a path of complete selfishness. Is to solely rely on one’s self and to step over others while living this life. That life doesn’t have room for genuine friendships or bonds. Hence why everyone of Sukuna associates are people who worship him.
But kashimo is definitely a top five character in my eyes. His fight with hakari is nuts. Specially given how dude fought an immortal with suppressed CE😂
I think something that's interesting about Kashimo is the implication that he lived his entire life into old age as a sorcerer knowing at least roughly what his cursed technique did, but never found any reason to use his technique. When he's approached by Kenjaku, he's about ready to pick a fight with Kenny until Kenjaku tells him he's not in fighting condition. Kashimo couldn't have been saving his technique specifically for Sukuna the whole time, because the prospect of fighting Sukuna wouldn't have crossed his mind until Kenjaku made him the offer to be incarnated into the culling games. He was an old man who was looking for closure before he died. He wanted to try out his technique for the first time, and he wanted to see how he measured up against the strongest of all time.
The comments are extremely mixed 😂. Personally I didn’t think Kashimos end was that bad. He got what he wanted. Gege should’ve extended the fight longer atleast with meguna
he couldnt extend the fight longer cause kashimo was winning, kashimo kept hitting sukuna and making him run since meguna had literally no shikigami and kashimo was js bashing him in, then he was about to blast half his body off with a lightning bolt so he forced him to transform thats why sukuna even took him seriously and killed him quick since like 5 seconds ago he was getting rocked by kashimo and wasnt letting any chance for that to somehow happen again

Considering kashimo could theoretically manupualte gravity if he was alive for longer the pther sorcerers would have jumped in regardless which would have made things hard for sukuna

People forget Sukuna used his busted cursed tool to counter Kashimo's Cursed Energy and almost instantly turned himself back to his original Heian Era form to fight against him, not to mention he used the world rending cut against him as well, it's clear that Sukuna knew not to mess with this prey.

Kashimo was the closest thing to sukuna in power. No one else stood even close to what Kashimo did. He tanked a reality cutting dismantle and was able to survive a beating with no damage from the strongest sukuna ever yet....gojo with 3 being buffing him to over 200% using barriers and shit couldn't even beat megumi....

This is the only way Kashimo is gonna get some love because he can’t get it in the series or manga. His character was wasted. Lost to Hakari and smoked by Sukuna. 0 wins. Waited one whole year to see him do nothing but praise and suck off Sukuna and then die a death that wasn’t memorable in any way. Lol so much potential an interesting one time form like the 8 gates and it was wasted. Give it up for your boy Kashimo.
Kashimo is unironically my favorite character in jjk. Everything about him is so cool to me and the whole "I can only use my cursed technique once" thing was my favorite part about him. I was so pissed when people started calling my boy a fraud 😭
Glad that someone is acknowledging Kashimo vs Sukuna. He completely blitzed a tired Meguna, who would still likely be too much for the main cast. Even now we only see Sukuna using his normal cleave/dismantle against the others, but Sukuna had no reservations against Kashimo. The only thing I wish would be different is if Sukuna asked for Kashimo's name or something, but that probably didn't matter for Kashimo as he was not interested in recognition, but simply for a real fight

It is important to stress Kashimo succesfully dodged a chant amped space dismantle which Halfjo the low diffed one couldnt dodge. As it was stated in 235 6-7, ce sparks before ct usage thus Halfjo knew both the 236 dismantle and Mahoraga`s 234 12 one were coming(Sukuna states in 236 13-14 that Mahoraga used the same ct). So Kashimo was evidence how massively superior Sukunas true form is to Meguna, and how much easier his victory vs the divided one would have been without him wanting to get a CT buff

Kashimo dodged the space dismantle after Sukuna literally told him to evade it + he was also chanting. You are also massively downplaying Gojo. Just because there are sparks before CT usage doesn't mean you can dodge the technique, otherwise all sorcerers would dodge like crazy all the time. And more, when Mahoraga and Sukuna used the space dismantle, both times it took Gojo by surprise. Don't forget Sukuna himself was terrified when the second hollow purple was about to be activated. He could've died there, and he knew that.

As I'm biased. But being serious I'd rather people call me a fruad for being able to dodge a strong punch after being warned than being hit by a punch from someone who can barely stand up.
Gojo's Case
Was already starting to heal with RCT on his way to recover to full strength, black flashed ampted, can use blue to speed up, has Six Eyes which meant he percieved time very very slowly. Also he could see Toji who had no CE there's no way he couldn't Sukuna building up CE for an attack. Thoo to be fair Sukuna might did a binding vow.
But still couldn't dodge a not chanted slash from a Sukuna with one hand, one foot, tanked purple (tho they both tanked purple), tanked several black flashes, and was on death's door. With the arguement being Gojo was superior to Sukuna at that moment but still couldn't dodge.
Kashimo's Case.
Went against a heian era and fully healed Sukuna. Yet Kashimo still dodged a long chanted slash (sukuna started chanting the moment he reincarnated). Yes he got warned but still got flung into the air. Also not only was it a chanted slash it also came from a full health Sukuna. And pretty sure we can all agree that a slash from a full hp sukuna is stronger than one on death's door.

However, just like sukuna, Gojo was also almost dead, and you can make the argument that because it wasn't chanted there was less of a chance that gojo could see it coming. I fully support your defense of Kashimo, but I disagree with your argument against gojo. Personally I dont think either one of them are frauds (though I like kashimo more as a character.)

Kashimo wasn’t able to speed blitz Sukuna, and yuta even at base fare better against that same Sukuna alone(249). So both yuta and Rika can keep up with him

Sky manipulation, to protect him from most of his attacks, even his Electric waves, and stop him to build up charge, maybe even trap a lightning in or defect it. And also inflict damage without touching him or bypassing his defenses

All good counters against him that together with yuyas physical stats, RCT and awaken rika will without a doubt be more than a match for kashimo. I’d say yuta wins 7 out 10 fights. I could say 6, but that would just me being nice

Yutas domains amp, his domain sure hit, rika, the unpredictability of the ct swords, with at least 5 of them presenting an actual threat, and jacobs ladder which is just game over, and kashimo forced to sacrifice both hands to maintain HWB while also having to face rika who is able to damage the Sukuna kashimo faced. Then is not even 7 out of 10, it’s 10 out 10 battles kashimo loses

Currently Kashimo is like the 3rd strongest character in the verse we know of. Hakari on a roll is stronger than Yuta as stated by the manga, and Hakari was definitely on a roll during that entire fight. Kashimo went blow to blow and basically fought to a draw against Hakari. Hakari is not always in his unlimited curse energy state, which is why Kashimo is higher.

I think Gege in his attempt to speed up the series ended up breaking Kashimo's characterization. For someone who should be the Gojo of his era, he had 3 fights, 2 losses, one of them being against a modern sorcerer, and his only win being over a glorified shikigami. Even the people who were around at his time got absolutely destroyed by Yuta, and while getting beaten by Yuta while he is barely trying is not an anti-feat, this modern age is supposed to be the low point of sorcery.

Kashimo is overhated. He lost to hakari on a technicality, and took no damsge from heian era sukuna directly hitting him multiple times, as well as dodging a space cleave. He was told that it would be used but the speed required to dodge it regardless of that is still absolutly insane. Sukuna reincarnated after being killed by kashimos base while weakened surem but even after kashimo died, he didnt take the fight fair and knew kashimo was a threat thus why he finished him with an air attack. then proceded to acknowledge kashimo in the statement "we are the strongest"

WE NEED MORE KASHIMO GLAZING
From a narrative standpoint, I find his character lacking any depth or really any relevance at all. Not to say that a character requires depth to be meaningful or impactful, however Kashimo did not seem to serve any purpose in the story other to show how strong Sukuna was. His death echoed the notions and dynamics between Gojo and Sukuna.
That may change near the end of the series if we find out more about him etc etc.
HOWEVER, I do agree he is underrated from a power scaling perspective

Sukuna is seriously a menace. He gave Kashimo the Jogo treatment, meaning Kashimo was such a powerful character, yet everyone clowns him because he was facing off against the strongest character in JJK period and looked insignificant in comparison.
Had Kashimo used his CT, I fully believe that the only people who could defeat him would be Sukuna, Gojo and possibly Hakari. With Hakari, it's basically the best offense vs the best defense and I only believe Hakari could beat Kashimo because Hakari isn't only a tank, he got them hands.
But then again Kashimo could do what Sukuna or Gojo is able to do to Maharaga and one shot him to the point that Hakari is being destroyed faster than he can heal.
But that's only if Kashimo goes all out and that essentially costs him his life, so Kashimo is stronger. Yet Hakari would be of better use in the long term and serves as a better sorcerer.

To be completely fair to kashimo you have to take into account that if gojo fought that version of sukuna he would have the same experience
10:15. To say Kashimo sits comfortably at 3rd strongest is possible but not really provable. There are 3 other people that I think could possibly also be 3rd strongest: Kenjaku, Yuki and Yorozu. We haven't seen enough from any of these 4 to definitively rank them, but I'd say they're probably 3rd through 6th with contention from Yuta, Maki and maybe Hakari. Takaba and Higuruma are also contenders.
