Hi Brady and Gratzi! Some people tell me that when they leave their home - so their puppy is not "alone" they leave my playlists on for their dog so he hears my voice and sees his family. This does seem to work very well for many little ones when they leave here to go to their new home to help them ease into a new environment with less stress. Thank you!

I have 2 questions. 1# what’s the purpose of squirting the dog who was barking? 2# by training a puppy with treats do they obey without giving them treats?
Hello Sydney, welcome to my channel! This video explains how to teach dogs to be Quiet: czcams.com/video/Wv6_anctiIQ/video.html and this is also woven into lots of my videos about teaching puppies and dogs to be well behaved. And for your second question, many of my older dogs will do whatever I ask them without a treat in site. For example, Grace is a therapy dog and I can take her anywhere (off leash) and she will stay by my side and perform anything I've taught her how to do without a treat. Libertee will do the same thing although I don't take her as many places because she is so much smaller - I don't take her to the Tail Wagging Readers program where there are lots young children unless I bring my large playpen so Libertee can do her "show" without being handled by little people. Many of my dogs are toy motivated and will do their full routines for the chance to put a toy in their mouth. So it is all about what motivates the dog, developing them to love the "work" and having intermittent rewards to get them to the point where they have fun just for the sake of doing the activity. The little puppies need the "high value lure" to get them to learn the routine in a fun way. There are some dogs that will learn without a high value treat because they want so much to bond with their owner but I personally have found our training works best with a lure that a puppy LOVES! Hello Patricia, their tails are "docked" when they are 2 - 3 days old. If someone would prefer to have a long tail on their puppy they are welcome to let me know and I will not have their puppy's tail docked. Thank you for asking this question and for enjoying the adventure with. me.
