  • Jessica Smolinski is a sculpture-trained photographer whose work merges photography, sculpture, installation and hand crafts. She’s inspired by traditional domestic crafts, specifically quilting, because of the overlap of form and function and of making and caring. As a photographer, Jessica documents serendipitous moments of her day-to-day and family life. She then cuts, recomposes and sews the photos together to form new fragmented relationships which become quilt-like patterns and designs.
