    Here's another BIG plus for the dry sump oil system. If running steep hills and your oil level runs low you can wipe out the top bearing in a hurry, (engine disaster). Dry sump won't have that problem, it has 5quarts in the tank. Good steady flow of oil, not air bubbles.

      @@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri We are mowing acres of Bahia grass its a round stalk grass. We change blades every 4 hours. The reason we run Scag V-Ride II is the way its cuts and discharges the grass. We are mowing 10" high grass at 5" the Scag is the only mower we found that would hold up in our Heat and not bog down. The Scag has 1900 RPM blade tip speed. All (name brand) mowers are good. The Scag is the best in our market (Freeport Florida) at mowing 10" high Bahia grass. We run Scag V-Ride II we buy new for $8,500 then trade-in at 500 hours for $5,800 (same dealer). That' $2,700 divided by 500 hours comes to $5.40 per mowing hour. We run 500 hours a season we buy a new mower every 11 - 13 months. Here is the math we run mower for 500 hours a season. Dec, Jan, Feb (0.0 hours per day) March, April, (3.5 hours per day) may, June, July (6.5 hours per day) Aug, Sept, Oct (5.0 hours per day) November (3.5 hours per day). We work a 4 day work week Tuesday - Friday for a total of 27 weeks of mowing with an average of 18.5 hours a week comes to 499.5 hours of mowing at $5.40 per hour cost us $2,700 per year to run Scag V-Ride II. Now $5.40 add fuel $10.00 an hour add Labor $15.00 an hour for a total of $30.40 an hour to own/run a Scag V-Ride II. its all about knowing your numbers. This is one reason our number is $120.00 an hour.
      The Scag is the cheapest/less expensive mower to buy and run into the ground like we do.

The pad is too far forward up top. The only part of the pad I use is for my knees. It’s like I’m downhill skiing All the time ur knees are always bent doesn’t get great traction either like my windstorm the frame is so rigid your always dragging a tire when u are turning I think the pivoting front end is going to be a huge improvement in the mobility. I really hope these guys at Ferris can hook me up tomorrow. I’m not happy with the v ride or the windstorm.

    Cameron, yesterday I installed the mulch kit on my Ferris Z2 52 and tested it out on 1 lawn. I was moderately pleased with the final look. After double cutting (triple in some places) the leaves were substantially reduced in size, but still very noticeable. These leaves were fresh and a little wet. They did not pulverize, but were reduced and remained visible. Do I need to adjust my expectations (was hoping for pulverized leaves that could barely be seen)? I used the wavy mulch blades that came with the kit. I did not X blade. Your thoughts? God bless you brother!

    • @TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri
      @TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri  Pƙed 3 lety

      Hey Steven! Switch out the wavy blades and install the regular oem high lift blades with the mulch kit. You will get more suction and better results. At least I do with the 37HP Vanguard EFI. The mulch blades don’t do very well with leaves bc they don’t lift the leaves off the ground to mulch. Instead they kind of mulch whatever is on top. Switch over to the high lift blades and let me know what you think about mulching leaves that way. Check out my other videos where I shred them to absolutely nothing! Hope that helps out for you! Thanks for sharing your experience with the mulch blades. 👍

It’s very comfortable and I feel less fatigue. It’s a more natural position for your body. We weren’t made to sit.
