About Trailmakers:
In the toughest motoring expedition in the universe, you and your friends will build your own vehicles to cross a dangerous wasteland. Explore, crash horribly, use your wits to build a better rig, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find on your way.
Welcome to the Ultimate Expedition!
Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Try mimicking a hyperspace jump by making a ship with rocket thrusters and a detachable quantum rudder, if you start accelerating until you reach max speed and then detach the rudders you’ll probably go very fast. Maybe you could use this as a retreat mechanism or just for travel
I tried that but it heats really unstable after a little bit
just use counter rotating quantum rudders, much better acceleration and you don't have to get rid of your quantum rudders
Genius
@@radontrailmakersgenius too
He could use Ysuzei's special method, lol.
Ey Scrap, thanks for reviewing my mining pod and reading the lore (the Bureau appreciates the free propaganda!)
The custom cockpit was inspired by Sareth, the true master of custom cockpits, so shoutout to them!
Also, you pronounce "Arceus" more correctly than most Pokémon fans, that's amazing lol
yep, he still said it wrong tho lol
@@ARCEUS_MASTERand that says something about how wrong people say it, right? xD

Would like to see realistic space builds from workshop
Clarify just a little on that. Realistic as in IRL rockets, space shuttles, satellites, and rovers or realistic as in replicas of space ships from pop culture?
@@steeljawX realistic as in realistic, that could be real, doesn't need to be real, just something that seems possible in real life.
It's quite straight forward.
@@mrnaris4852so it could be something similar to the ships in The Expanse
@@Froststrike idk
That last ship reminded me of Assassin's Creed 4 when I used mods to sail a flagship (Galleon) and the sheer amount of firepower and cannons gave me the same exact feeling.
the last place is called "Nassau" does that ring any bells ???
@@DebshankarPathak-hb8tf Yeah but the ship reminded me of sailing a Galleon in AC4, not AC4 itself. Just Nassau wouldn't remind me of AC4, it would remind me of just pirates and slavery.
@@riccardopetrina4212 you like music ?
@@DebshankarPathak-hb8tf Yeah, why wouldn't I? Does Nassau have some funky music?
@@riccardopetrina4212 No its not about Nassau
Multiplayer Monday idea. Use the complexity mod and the dreadnought against two other smaller ships. Or either one of you should choose a bigger ship against other smaller two.
Like Star Wars Squadrons!
That would be cool
This is really nice idea🔥
14:08 maybe there was a distance sensor opening the gate when you land
Im pretty sure of it. Thats how i would do it.
watching huge ships like the ark fight in space or in a planet's atmosphere is going to be so fun!
This update realy teleported trailmakers builds to an new level!
13:00
I am the producer of the Hercules-class spaceship.
The first ship you'll try is the interplanetary transport ship.
It is designed to transport the other Hercules planet lander through space quickly.
Although it is not clearly shown in the video, it can automatically land on the planet. After landing, the garage opens, and you can place a rover inside. Once you return to orbit, you can merge with the Hercules interstellar and move quickly in space.
Dude that’s awesome. Takes some genius to figure that out
@@Osamabonjovi thx u
You should try to get a bullet of a gun to orbit around the gravity asteroid. Assuming that bullets are affected by its gravity.
He could try, but keep in mind that they despawn after 20 seconds.
and there might not be a strong enough gravity that can catch a fast bullet
@@coconuthun_2159 he could slow down the bullet by shooting it backwards off of something like he did in that one video where he got the rocket to fall straight down.
@@benlabuda3640 now that you mentioned it, yea it could work.
assuming bullets follow gravity at all :/
@@coconuthun_2159
8:01 The Y-wing uses a recolored circuit board texture, my favorite for adding detail without much effort
Hey Scrapman,
Saw the part about Metalburg’s build, and how you loved the realistic cockpit. I would just like to say that I have also put some builds on the workshop with full interiors. In particular, you can search ‘C-61’ on the workshop. It would mean a lot to me is you could put it in a video! Thank you 😄
17:34 that's actually a pretty good vulture build considering SC's insane level of detail and trailmaker's limits imposed by the block system. They even got the lil ladder
21:10 - Controls: lists controls. Controls for scrapman: just push buttons and see what happens xD
I never intend scrapman to look at my stuff, but on the off chance he does I wanted to include something cheeky :P
Damn. I dont consider myself bad builder but most of these are next level.
Good picks!
The vulture is one of my favorite ships in star citizen currently, salvaging is very cathartic and relaxing to me.
The Vulture is very similar to the Venture which is a miner from EVE Online. A lot of people have even pointed out the similarities and wondered why CCP Games didn't give a C&D to Start Citizen for ripping off their ship designs.
Day 6 of:
I've got 3 ideas for you,
1: Player 1 builds a plane with wheels on the tips of the wings. Player 2 makes a runway with two lanes and a gap in between. Then land the plane on that runway.
2: Build a plane which can transform into a submarine upon contact with the water (like, wings turn in and stuff).
3: Test yours and your friends building skills by turning animals into a vehicles (maybe multiple animals per person but that might be too time consuming). Points for form and points for function
Scrapman not knowing Obi-Wan’s Delta-7b Aethersprite had me crying inside 😂
I would love a multiple session with a bunch of the other guys just trying to take down one person in the dreadnought. Don't know if you can do multiplayer with the complexity mod though.
Who else is convinced that ScrapMan would make for an awesome friendship irl?
yes
Definitely lol
Fun colab video idea:
Make ships that have like 2 cannons (the slow ones) on their sides and no other weaponry, so u guys have to flank each other. Even more fun if u don’t allow shields but that’s up to u
The ship at 9:40 is functionally a worse version of the last ship i made (On Xbox unfortunately): It has 20 Guns, all at their own delay (.01 s apart from each other i believe), as soon as the bottom of the craft goes within 400m of a surface (aka a planet) it automatically stabilizes to face upward and switches all controls into "planet mode" (aka no guns, no roll and pitch (you can go up by using A i believe), and Yaw gets remapped from RB/LB to Left stick). if it goes within 11m, it engages all gimbals and turns into "Taxi Mode", where you only control the vehicle using the Left Stick (and A to leave the surface). i may be misremembering when the switches in controls happen, it may be that you only lose pitch in "Taxi Mode"
thanks for looking at my ship. appreciate it
Scrapman, pls don't call a proper combat ship of that size a freighter....it hurts my fictional space naval sensibilities something fierce
That would be a destroyer, right?
I feel u
ship in spac
@@leroyjenkinsreturns Well, since it was in the description, it's classified as a dreadnought. Dreadnoughts were a type of battleship in the early 1900s, but in a sci-fi setting, it usually means the biggest, heaviest battleship in the fleet. A destroyer usually means a much smaller craft used for escort duties or independent patrol. In real life destroyers were built to protect larger ships from submarines and torpedo boats, hence the name (torpedo boat) destroyer.
Yeah, look at that! It's clearly a patrol ship!
Hi ScrapMan. I built the Y-Wing. Great video, and thanks noticing all the details I put.
I cant believe i found you again, i first found you back when you first started play scrap mechanic. Good to see you again.
You should do an episode of building real ideas in Trailmakers but space edition! :) could try your hand at making proposed ideas or ideas that fans want to see (pop culture ships and such)
Love the vids bro!
MM idea: Flagship 1v1, double complexity limit and get 500 cores and duke it out! All the shields and laser you could want but no repair
I CAN'T BELIVE ONE OF MY BUILDS GOT INTO ONE OF SCRAP MAN'S VIDEOS! This really made my day, I love your videos ScrapMan, keep up the good work.
omg, this is the first time my creation has been in a video, I'm so happy you got to see it (i'm kuuhaku 10:21)
It would be awesome to see another bossfight video, but using that stellar dreadnought or some other Mega-Creation.
20:48 LOL the "controls for scrapman" at the bottom of that description
would like to see how stuff looks like when you go to maps with normal gravity
you should try 2/3v1 survival challenge where one player must survive on the center asteroid in the vortex with a ground-based vehicle with downforce, so you can drive on the whole sphere, maybe put some guns on it, and then see how long it takes the other players in space crafts to destroy the survivor's vehicle! keep up the awesome work scrap!
Using decals on the lights is genius, BRB refreshing some of my builds
cool idea for mm: you one of those battles were you are in two teams and each team has one big build and one attacker build. and in the big build there is a driver and a gunner. but in space the big build would be some sot of big mothership like the one you showed of last, just something gigantic. ik think this woold be insanly cool to battle with and to watch!! :)
i hope this idea will be considerd.
I think the aroura would look really good in the space update :D
Amazing job on that vulture from Star Citizen.
The Solar Gavel is RIGHT up my alley!
glad you like my dreadnought scrapman :P
Interesting idea,
What if you have lots of separate anchor blocks and detach them off into space like a mine field and see how effective it is.
it would be cool if you started a space series like the scrapmechanic one
I love the pretty iconic space destroyers (aka the massive ships with massive chins)
Was the dwarf creation a reference to Deep Rock Galactic?
No lol
Pls make Space Evolution, the series is really fun and its really cool to see what you can make with new blocks.
That Y-Wing looked INCREDIBLE
Now it needs an x-wing
Thank you. Glad you liked it.
@@Lukelm7 man, I loved it! The Y-Wing is one of my favorite Star Wars ships of all time and you did it unprecedented justice!
The last one looks really cool, you must do dogfight with these Typ of space-shipes!!
im a huge fan of the second creation. the rhombus on the top looks like the emblem of my favorite football team here in germany :D
Love to see a multiplayer challenge with those ships
Would love to see huge capital ship's battle it out, a huge space battle with huge ships going at it.
22:28
It's, Fun-Space Scrapman.
That's why we have a HOOOOOONK
The vulture ship is a ship from EVE Online not Star Citizen, it's the basic mining frigate you have access to as a player to start mining and collecting ores from asteroids in various systems
You should do a 2v2 fight with ships like the last one. I think that would be an epic battle
That Solar Gavel 47 ship makes me want to see y'all do a broadside-only multiplayer battle
Possibly also requiring a minimum block count to really give them a space-battleship sort of feel
0:19 i haven't PLAYED on that game since before the air bound update
Who knew a cube could be so cool! 6:13
Your pronounciation of swedish names ("Lingonkatten") always makes me chuckle a bit 😄
The y-wing, solar gavel 47, and the Dreadnought. Absolute bosses. 😎🤟 😯😅😁👌
Thank you. I built the y-wing.
@@Lukelm7 It's absolutely beautiful and totally want my favorite spaceships.👌
Should have a raid boss-style multiplayer battle where your friends try to take you down in the Ark Flagship, but add a shield to protect the top and bottom since there's no aiming up/down
Cool, now you should take like 3 days to make a dreadnought with and have a dreadnought battle for multiplayer Monday
You should try a plane battle in atmosphere on the space bound planets or do a Walker mech battle with the lads
I really want to see someone build the Cpt Harlock ships they would be so cool
The dreadnought is by most my favorite build its so awesome i love it the design is also nice
at 2:23 that ship reminds me of the one in the lego movie where that one astronaut that kept screaming "SPACESHIP" made lol
You could also do a video where you need to transport something around space
I think you should test shooting all the different weapons through the shields. I think bombs and physical projectiles explode when they make contact on the way out of the shield.
He's already done that
I love the final spaceship it's so cool
Video idea: For science, can you use anchor blocks to attach a creation on to a small asteroid and move it out of its orbit??
Idea: You could build big mothership style ships in multiple pieces, and then join them together via those couplers, like in crossout, when people build those coop wehicles.
15:46
That blue thing in the middle is the ship reactor,or you can just call in the core
ScrapMan: "Let's test this thing in an atmosphere! Let's go to Doon!"
Also ScrapMan moments later: "I don't know what I'm Doon!"
Scrap really has to play Space Engineers if he's enjoying the Spacebound update this much!
Hey scrapman, you guys should do a space battle with space battle ships
"The quantum rudders just work on their own, there's no reason to put them on hinges"
The devs lied as easily as they breathed
More likely they just didn't think about how creative people can be with things
@@GummieI ye there's a meme with the sentence "she lied as easily as she breathed"
ScrapMan, have you guys ever considered trying a star wars pod racing challenge in Scrap Mechanic or Trailmakers? I dont know if it is possible, but it sounds funny and easy to die in.
24:32 It's a dreadnought but even it looks tiny next to the Freighter
You and some others should make big ships like in star wars and do a space battle
a 3v1, fighters vs mothership/dreadnaught would go hard
Vulture... Plain copy of Venture from EVE Online. I'm looking forward to see bunch of EVE Online-like ships or even replicas of them. Keep up Workshop! GJ Scrap. o7
My favorite creation will be the lag you create when you battle these ships.
you can do a multiplayer battle with a big mothership full of shields to defend with smaller ships
FUN FACT to increase the speed and maneuverability the athersprite had no shielding as the intended jedi pilots where able to sense the future
Plural of Grible is Gribli. At least according to Adam Savage at Tested.
Who remembers the OG space series scrapman did on scrapmechanic, those were the days , you had like the red green and purple sort of tribes
Seeing a actual y wing build amazes me
Haha that's funny. 17:30 I'm flying my vulture in star citizen while I'm watching this.
I love you, man I am subscribed and I also play trialmakers
Hey @Scrapman! Do you know that there is a new DLC for Teardown? If so, PLEASE PLAY IT, YOUR AMAZING!!
gimbals definetly do work in space, you just need a down thruster
Final build is a cool design without guns, so much weapons looks so goofy
Sounds like a YDIB of space vehicles is in order.
If I think they work how I think they do. The shields actually let projectiles pass through them within a certain time of the projectile's lifetime. It's a simple way of making it so the shields don't get damaged from your own shots. I could be wrong, but it's what it seems like.
You should do a video with yuezi where you try to use the Hercules and the Hercules transport to land on a planet
love your vids
ngl that frigate at 16:26 ki9nda reminds me of the spirit of fire from halo wars
I feel like making space ships for FMB.
When I get the chance
The star citizen ship reminds me of the halo drop ship, I haven’t played star citizen but they look similar and especially with the magnets in the center like the energy field in the halo games
Scrap man Please read my comment🙏 We gotta see freighters Space battle that will be epic 😎👍 It's like a battleship type of style in water but in space though.😂
scrap i think why the door on the cargo ship (the white lander rover) has a servo that does not have any controls is so you can add a button for it to make it open its your choice on what button to make the door open
