BATIM | A Psychoanalysis of Bendy | Video Assignment

- This is mainly an assignment for my Psych class. But it’s been something I’ve been pondering for a while. Thanks to my teacher for letting me do a video on this!
My assignment was to observe the behavior of a character form a piece of media and I chose Bendy from BATIM.
Apologies for the shite quality in my mic, I wanna get a better one eventually.

Glad to see that I am not the only one that sees Bendy as an abuse victim. It’s horrible what abuse dose to a person, animal........or a Living toon.
And the kind of abuse that comes from a Step/Parent or Guardian to a child...... or in Joey & Bendy’s case.... “creator” & Creation.....that’s the WORST kind of them all.
(*& if You pay attention to the Bendy toons, The Character dose very much Behave & act like a Kid. Bendy’s even the Smallest character (*Besides the also Childlike Butcher Gang Member, Edgar the Spider*) out of the entire toon cast of Characters.*)
I also feel that because Bendy was designed/Drawn/“Born” as a Devil/Demon. The automatic stigma & Views on these creatures as “Evil”, “Villain”, “Monster” & “Bad Guy” that comes from stories, Myths, Legends, Fairy Tales, Folklore, Religion, Media, ect over the years of our Human History also contributed to Bendy’s Abuse....it’s like.....dare I say the word.....”RACISM”.....towards the toon.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Joey Drew or any other Human that encountered Bendy would use that Viewpoint to justify there abuse, treatment or actions towards Him.
Good essay, You did a great job with the current material & Lore that was available for the game. I hope that You’ll update this video essay when the new “Illusion of Living” Book, comes out.
Yeah I kind had this theory for a while. When I read Dreams Come To Life I was shocked when surgical tools were in the same room Bendy was locked in. I was even more shocked when no one really noticed it. Bendy has it worst out of all of them in my opinion. Yes he goes around killing everyone he sees but that’s because he truly believes that everyone is out to hurt him, and that violence is the only way he can protect himself. I’m really hoping he gets a better experience in BATDR.
@@friendly-1ntrovert865 By the way. Have You ever read the original “Frankenstein” Novel? Even before the BaTiM universe & Characters expanded in various forms of Media, I’ve always kinda noticed that element being invoked in the game & The ink demon Himself. It’s Especially at it’s strongest around chapter 5.
