  • When it comes to practicality and style in the automotive world, SUVs often reign supreme. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that not all SUVs are created equal and not all of them are desirable choices.
In today's day and age, we are fortunate to have a wide range of high-quality SUVs and other modes of transportation available without having to break the bank. This accessibility has led to an influx of SUVs on our roads. However, as mentioned earlier, it's important to recognize that while some SUVs are exceptional, it's not solely due to their inherent quality.
Unfortunately, there are specific SUV models that fall short in various aspects, making them undesirable options for potential buyers. In fact, these SUVs are so subpar that avoiding them becomes imperative if you plan to make a wise purchasing decision.

The worst features of Kias are the dealers. Their abuse of their customers is becoming legendary. Why buy a vehicle that introduces to severe dealer abuse.

If it's first year the only thing you should be paying for are oil changes. Everything else should be under warranty
Police nationwide are using Explorers and the get a lot harder use than most any family would put it through.
I drive a 2022 Hyundai Palisade and except for 2 factory recalls it has been flawless.
The Lincoln Aviator is just a pricey Ford Explorer

One would imagine that logically thinking manufacturers should be building automobiles like they were before .
Great engines low fuel consumption & long term guarantees up to 300,000 miles then people who be more selective .
The normal driver dosent want to change his car before the guarantee is up.
Longer guarantees better customer confidence Other wise is follow the worst case senario and bring your level to the gutter

Kia Sorento is a very good reliable SUV

I subscribe to Consumer Reports. The 2023 Sorento has a reliability score of 4/5, not 1/5.

I find that every one who posts this subject with different opinions that counters another. I use my long time mechanical abilities to guide me over what most of these people post. I do look at Consumer Reports but just to get their information on the carrs.

maybe it's time to go back to more basic vehicles without so many bells and whistles just for 'selling points' to add $$ to the selling .

I (Hyundai owner) lost trust in Kia & Hyundai after the "Kia Boys" issues!!!
I get stressed every time I need to park & leave my car at any new unknown location :(

Check with your dealer or local police for a steering wheel lock they are giving for free. If your car is 2022 or newer Kia boys can't steal it like the previous years

    Have I been lucky?
I've owned a 2021 VW Tiguan 2.0 diesel (7 seater) from near new and not had an issue so far.
I do the usual checks in between services - check oil level, tyres etc.. and have only covered 22k miles - front tyres will need replacing in the next 6 months.
I've owned VW's for the last 30yrs (mainly Golf's, Passat estate) and mainly diesels and provided they are maintained, I've never had an issue.... as already stated above.....have I been lucky?.....I don't think so.
