I got a message from her back in 2013 (don't ask me how--I still don't know) and she said she wanted to truly tour the US again and couldn't wait to, but it doesn't seem to be up to her ultimately. She's SO genuine. There's just no way she would reach out and say that unless it was something dear to her. She did the North American tour after, but it was tiny compared to what she wanted. I too hope she comes back to the US with her latest album.
Why is that hard to believe? Everyone I knew secretly had a huge crush on Kylie inc myself along with Glynis Barber from Dempsey and Makepiece fame. Kylie was so alive in front of the camera and she was always innocent and beautiful...not like today's trashy show everything asap! I can't even watch a modern pop video because there is no magic in it anymore and sadly the kids today haven't a clue that it was about the greatness of the pop song and the beauty of the artiste in how they performed it. I long for music to be what it was but it will never happen again I'm sure...unless they realise they can demand better and then real songwriters can come back to the table and dod what they do best which is making brilliant hits again. Now you have 10-20 songwriters on each track which means it can never be great like this. You just need 1 or 2 like Stock and Aitken and then you get that magic back:)
