There wouldn't be scammers if people will just not fall for whatever the scam may be. I've never fallen for a scam in my entire life but it's because of my own due diligence not because I read of them in the news and whatnot. You see, it's in the news all the time, but yet people still fall for them, either because of greed or that they're not smart(not gonna say the real word I should use), so actually yes I don't feel for those people

Capitalism at its finest. Probably about 51% of the American population are “small business owners” now since people think it’s super easy. And so many people are struggling with that that they get desperate and turn to people like the defendants. The hard truth people don’t want to hear is that if you can’t handle getting your ass out of bed to get to a regular job (which is usually the easiest part) then you definitely can’t handle running a business. The attitude now is “anyone can be a CEO” which is so so so far from the truth.

I kept telling her to not answer unknown number and hang up she accidentaly picked one up. I told her that one of these times there was going to be a talented con man on the other end and she was going to fall for it. She assured me she knew better, she was just being polite. Well, one day I caught her on the phone mentioning "Is this about my Bank of America account or Citi bank accaount". When my mom hung up the phone, I pointed out how the caller could have been anyone but now is fully aware that she banks with Bank of America and Citi because she volunteered that information; they never asked for it. That day she learned that she could be talked into trusting the person on the other end and that she would volunteer information without being asked about it. Luckily, it was one of her banks calling to confirm something, but my mom did not have confirmation of that at the moment.
