  • Finally took the time to do this for you guys. Sorry for the wait. Before it will start doing what you want it to, you need to meet certain thresholds, with Windows 7 clients it won't work until it has had 25 requests from client machines. If you are making the requests from Windows 2008 Servers then the count is 5.

    A better format would be
    nslookup -type=srv _vlmcs._tcp.
    This includes your specific domain. Note the space betwee srv and _vlmcs....

      The video is about 2008 R2 but the command should work on 2012 & 2016

    Your command doesn't work because you forgot the space in between svr and _vlmcs.
    nslookup -type=srv _vlmcs._tcp

      @it3445 Před 6 lety

      nslookup -type=all _vlmcs._tcp

    • @it3445
      @it3445 Před 6 lety +1

      nslookup -type=srv _vlmcs._tcp
      there is space between srv & _vlmcs

    Will a KMS server 2012 R2 activate Office clients?

    • @mradios4671
      @mradios4671 Před 5 lety

      It should, if the 2008 R2 does, see no reason why 2012 R2 can't.

    1st of all, it IS NOT KEY MANAGEMENT SERVER. IT IS key management service server. Or KMS server/host. Not very bright are you . If you are going to do a video, use the right nomenclature.
