Celebrate 50 years of DHL by following one guitar’s journey from a factory in Nashville to a stage in London and the maestro of the Summer of ’69 himself.
DHL is Bryan Adams' official logistics partner and is transporting some of the band's equipment by air and road to more than 20 countries during his "Shine A Light" tour. The collaboration marks the 50th anniversary of the logistics company, which was founded by Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn on September 25, 1969. As part of the world tour and the company's anniversary, the musician and DHL are sending a clear signal for sustainability and climate protection: in cooperation with the Arbor Day Foundation, Plant-for-the-Planet, WeForest and Taking Root, the logistics specialist and the rock legend have set themselves the goal of planting one million trees together this year. Trees will also be planted in Bryan Adam's home country of Canada. The first spadefuls of earth have already been broken, creating new forest areas with over 300,000 trees in Indonesia, Nicaragua, Malawi and the USA. The tree planting partners' projects are based on international environmental standards such as the Gold Standard and Plan Vivo.
