After I took this video, I immediately drove her to the emergency 24 hr vet. They gave her a bunch of antibiotics and kept her overnight. I hand fed her for two weeks and kept her on meds until she felt better.
very idiotic of you to take the video and posting it and then saying it as immediately took her to vet ...1 min is more than enough to take the poor baby into fear...imagine yourself in this case .. but thank god you took the child to vet
Actually, The vet recommends taking a video of the seizure being you shouldn't move the rabbit during any seizure so either just stand there and watch or take a video to show the vet exactly what behavior is happening so they vet can treat the rabbit.
The rabbit could have broke it back or neck. They have very fragile spines. My oldest is 14. She needed to sit beside it, pet the bun to help it out of the seizure. Also, rabbits brains temp heats up each time a seizure happens. Vets are more interested in how long the seizure was. Many times Gabapectin is prescribed. It helps to lesson the seizures. 2 of my rabbits are on it. Additionally it is great fir nerve pain in rabbits snd can safely be used with Meloxicam when in there older years sometimes younger used for pain/inflammation.
I remember when my baby had a first time seizure, I was so afraid i was crying and petting him, kept telling him we are there, not to worry. The first wave was violent shaking. I picked him and put him on my lap, stroking him, while my husband tried to contact the vet. When the first wave stopped, the second wave started, extremely loud teeth chattering. Poor baby was in so much pain. Those few minutes felt like an eternity. When his teeth chattering stopped he slumped into my lap, letting go all of his body weight. I was panicking and telling my husband what happened, is he okay? Is he ?? My husband said no no he isn't dead. Then I noticed him breathing in my lap, and he looked up, confused with no clue what happend till now.. He got better with medication in time. ❤
Thank you for posting this, my bunny is going through something very similar, she tried to run it off though but keeps falling over 😭. I wasn't sure what it was but now I can say with confidence that it is a seizure. I need to take her to the vet.
I’ve been reading up on rabbits and seizures and watching this made me burst out into tears. It’s so hard to see the babies we love so much going through something we can’t control (in the moment, of course there’s preventative care and such, I just mean AS it’s happening). Poor baby, I hope his health has improved since!? I didn’t actually see how long ago this was 😢 but thank you for posting and spreading awareness so bunny moms and dads alike have material to compare and research when ours go through something similar!

Awweee, as a bun mom myself of four and a new litter of 6 babies that video broke me but you did good to keep calm and get the Sweetie into the vet right away, your a good bun mom to keep fighting with them and I got tears when your sweet bun does move her front paws like a pleading to help her omg, I lost it there..😰 Hope all going well by now.
Oh sweet heart bless you lots of love. My bunny Binky has seizures for three years now but his are complex partial so not as bad. He does the mouth movement and paws and tooth grinding his ears go rigid ect and he shakes. They wanted him in phenobarbital for them but it's so toxic I tried ' seizure pet' and it's the most amazing CBD for animal seizures it's insane the ingredients but it's amazing stuff and he goes long periods of time without seizures. What is your bunny taking for them? Binkys seizures are on my channel you can see he's seizing but they are complex partial but have still caused him so much problems the thing I find the worse is that his seizures stop his gut and he got gi stasis so now I akaTs syringe feed him an hour after a seizure so it doesn't happen
My bunny just freaked out doing a "death roll" like aligators do. She can not stand up and is resting to the right.....i think she had a 15 second seizure.
@@shaunrene1 Bullshit. Filming a seizure is helpful, because you can show a rabbit savvy vet and get their opinion. It also helps to show videos like this to any new vets you may see. My parents were told to try and film me seizing when I was diagnosed with epilepsy, so we could show the neurologists and have them see how my body reacted. If one side was convulsing, if both were, if my legs were stiff, if I was blinking or my mouth was moving, etc. This stuff is important. Because there are different types of seizures.
Our rabbit had a seizure also but after the seizure he was completely paralyzed unable to move he was lying on the floor doing nothing only breathing, he was not okay in morning so we had to take him to the vet to let him rest in heaven :(

i feel so stupid my rabbit just passed away tonight but was doing stuff like this before but i wasn't sure what was wrong i should've taken him to a vet i thought maybe i needed to change his food or let him roam free so i did but i guess that didn't help i wish i helped him sooner
