I lived across the Hudson River in New Jersey. The city of Union City, Hudson County, New Jersey, is the place I was born and raised. Moved from New Jersey 1986 to Florida then to Alma Georgia, my home now. Met my husband in Florida and moved to the small town of Alma ,Georgia where he was from. Enjoy your videos of NYC brings back a lot of good memories.
This video reminded me how much I enjoyed biking in New York when I was there in 2015. I'm determined to come back and bike areas I didn't see before. Thanks for the video and stay safe.
Nice work once again ✌️👌 love your vids🔥🔥🔥😎
Beautiful ride up the Hudson Greenway. This is one of my favorites of your cycling videos! Awesome post...stay safe, AK!👍
Thank you for saying hi in the live chat today Judith. Hi back! I'm sorry for not responding on the chat. I wasn't able to stay and moderate so I tried to sneak on and off w/out notice to give Tom a quick plug. I hope Action Kid gave him a plug too. I hope you are doing and staying well. I was very saddened and sorry to hear you have lost two friends to Covid. I'm glad AK is helping to keep you busy with moderating on YT and Twitch. FYI - We have chatted a bit on Twitch but you didn't know it was me. I'm on the "DL" on Twitch until I can change my screen name.
Take care and stay safe.
@@ssadvweld1 Hey Stephanie! I was so glad to see you on the chat today. I like Tom Delgado also. I do watch his videos, when he posts them. Thanks so much for your kind words regarding the loss of my two friends. It's been hard, but I do a lot of praying. I like Twitch livestreams, but for some reason I'm not getting a notification when AK goes live. Frustrating...I'm glad this stream on YT went well with no issues. Hope you and your family are staying safe. Take care and hope to see you on the next chat!😊😉
Thanks Action kid for all your videos. Who cares if you made that hill, you're the best anyway ! This one brought back a lot of memories for my wife and I . We lived in Washington Heights during our first years of marriage on Nagle Ave. A killer one bedroom apartment for like 350.00 a month ! That was in the early 1980's. Stay well and thanks again.
I nearly bunkered down when you sneezed, this Corona has me stressed 😂
That was lovely. For someone who plans to move to the city when this is over, this was a beautiful escort of the greenway. Thank you so much!
HI, Ken: Take care of your health. The danger is not over yet. NYC is very densely populated and crowded. Logically speaking, the risk is higher.
@Spend it in the USA! Denying the pandemic is not going to make it go away.
@Spend it in the USA! Your level of ignorance, narcissism and sociopathy is very high.
Proud of you for making it up that hill, periodt! Oofa.
The Action Kid on his 🚲 taking a relaxing ride on a beautiful day. Made , in the shade.
Before 2 weeks ago, I hadn’t ridden a bike for a couple of years. I never had a real reason to get one. 2 weeks ago my friends and I took a train to NYC and rented bikes and rode around. I instantly fell in love with cycling and I can’t wait to go back and to ride this pathway.
In 1967 when I was 15 I tried to make it all the way down that hill on a skateboard. Not the kind of skateboards we have today, back then they were crude. Almost killed myself losing it and wiping out about 1/3 of the way down. LOL!
What a beautiful scenery! Thank you Actionkid! I enjoy bike ride!!! Thank you Actionkid for being a great video artist! 👍👍🤗🤗👏👏😍😍
You didn’t disappoint me at all! I actually just rode up the same path today and I gave up where you got off your bike. I had my dog in his basket so I didn’t want to risk it. I looked your video up on CZcams to see what was ahead of me. Thanks for the video and I made the right choice by not finishing. I don’t want my little dog falling out of his basket lol.
I enjoyed this video and other videos that you posted. Thank you 😊 💓
Nice...love the video....I grew up in Washington Heights/Inwood and as a kid I use play in all those parks. I use to bike it, rollerblade, run, play football in the winters and play baseball in the summers in three field by the GW bridge. Memory lane😁😁😁 Thanks
No worries on the hill...as a kid I use to start the top of the hill on my bike and race all the way down. Extremely hard to go up.
Pretty serene ride even though you still are on the island.
12:18 If people get in the way, in front of the bike, a sneeze will chase them away! 😅🤪
Nice ride annyway thanx for the virtual cycling view
Loved the ride! I think you are the only one using the bell.
🍎. It’s a great ride. Love riding through all those trees in the city. Great views of the river to. Many thanks. - Henry
What type of bike do you use I am looking to get a bike for city use ?
Somehow disappointed how small the walking and biking paths are leading to annoying conflict and stress. Especially in the second part of the ride with the dangerous hole. Time for the politicians to fix this ASAP.
Horst agreed! Perhaps they could levy a small Tax locally and invest the money to improve the cycling routes?
Ya, more space in manhattan for less stress, def gonna happen in NYC. 😂
@@b.griffin317 Check 19:14 - so much space to widen up the walkway/bikeway. Same at 6:30 - the most dangerous segments of this video all have enough space to fix it.
Love your channel, just finished watching the last of your holiday recording's while you where in Taiwan, loved the Teapot mountain one while you descended in the dark.
That Teapot Mountain hike was gorgeous!
A peaceful ride along the Hudson River. This is one of my favorite trails to cycle on in NYC. I like to cycle between Dyckman Street and Battery park along the Hudson River Greenway. Some of my favorite sections to cycle is along the Amtrak Empire Connection and the NYC Central Alco S1 locomotive along the path at around 72nd street.
Hello, thank you very much. I am always following you. Tired. Great fun. Today I came to see the path that I walk, walk and walk on the dog (fishing). I like this area very much because I walk often near the river. Now I am back in Thailand. Will come here to NYC every year and have a lot of fun. Thank you very much. I follow you and share as well.
That hill is a killer........ thank God I can shift gears. Just beat that hill again today......... Btw. That viewing area @ 21:20 is called Inspiration point.
you should look into electric bicycles, those hills would have been no problem.
I really wish more cities were built with bike roads like this.
That was a great shot of the GWB On the Jersey side in Fort Lee is a park along side of the GWB. We would have a lot of picnics there.
excellent man, as always! beautiful place. greetings from Argentina
Are you using a GoPro?
Nice job on the hill
man i love this video
Very beautiful ride 👍
Hello Action Kid, I was very disappointed that you didn't manage to pedal up that incline! But another great vid. I was thinking about attempting this myself last autumn but I wasn't sure it was possible. Thanks for showing another great waterfront route.
Good ride ActionKid !
I watch one of your videos every day to see more of New York. My son lived here for 8 years and recently relocated to Las Vegas. I enjoy them all!!
Really really nice video !!
its as if i took the ride myself, thanks. always did the bike path from around the intrepid museum all the way to around the south street seaport, but never went that far north. will have to try it.
I enjoy your narrated cycling videos!
That was great. Thanks. Can’t imagine how many more people there will be after
Covid🙄🙄👀
One of your best vids.
Great video. Did that route today. What camera are you using?
hey bro you could'nt do that in my city cuz full of cones major streets blocked over and over no endings on the other end I was woundering how come the video or signal (when live) is not breaking like it does with the news channels or remote events ?
You can’t disappoint us AK, you keep going mate
Lol! Up to now that sinkhole and cone is still there, it's been 2 years.
Great Video as Always. Well done and thanks for sharing. Greetings from Austria, Europe
3:45 Aren't electric scooters illegal in NYC? 🤔
Great ride, so nice landscapes 😊
Gorgeous video!! Many thanks for it, would have loved if you had stop under the George Washington bridge to show it a bit!
Excelente tu video👍👍🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️ saludo desde uruguay🇺🇾
CZcams isn't giving 4K option on my LG TV, only up to 1440p.
A beautiful ride!!! Isn't there a bridge that goes from Staten Island to New Jersey?
yup, the Verrazano
Wow thats a nice part of the city
Super video :) :) :) :) :)
You should cycle around the island
Very very nice beautiful footage! I love that 4k60 linear footage and how buttery smooth and green it looks there.
Awesome video, AK 👍❤😁
Fantastic video, great area must go there soon as there's flights miss Manhattan, great commentary. All your videos are great just one long stream NO EDITING which is how it should be. Your vids Are the best & I've seen a lot of N.Y.C. They shoot a lot of videos like yours in Japan so I wonder if you got your style from.keep up this great work be Safe. YOU should write a book on all this with photos best wishes from the U.k.
Nice
So pristine‼️
Sorry kid but the Bayonne bridge, Goethals bridge and outerbidge crossing also connect nyc to nj.
*_That course is a BoneShaker_*
Where
Thanks Boss.
Great video. Would love to see more cycling routes in NYC.
One addition, though: It's the only bridge connecting Manhattan with New Jersey, but there are additional ones in Staten Island that connect NYC with New Jersey, right?
Regarding the hills, I can totally recommend sufficient derailleur gears. That makes cycling up there really easy. Some people say you do not need that unless your area is really mountainous, but I would disagree. It's also worth it for situations like these.
RE bridges: yes, three bridges from SI to NJ, but only one, the Bayonne, is walk/cycle-able. Also SI is so remote from the rest of the city most NY'ers wouldn't count it. You cannot walk directly to SI from anywhere else in NYC.
love your channel, greetings from Rio de Janeiro :)

You're bell would scare me. However looks like you need it. Lol
He actually has a horn like a car since the bell doesn't always work, lol.
Doews anyone happen to know just where Dustin Hoffman was portrayed jogging in the movie "The Marathon Man" back in the 1970's ? He was either by the East or the Hudson River I believe. Thanx for the help of someone's.
If the link below is the clip you are talking about I'd guess based on the background scenery it takes place around the 79th St Boat Basin in Riverside Park in the Upper West Side.

🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
i was there last july i walked from g w bridge to cafe basin then got the 1 train greets from liverpool
Spring is definitely the most beautiful time of the year.
Trees in the autumn around early Nov is spectacular.
Thank you for sharing with us, the beautiful bike trails in NYC. You are a great guide, ActionKid.
This is a beautiful ride. Loved the water and bridge views. Stay safe and be careful. Until the next one Ken.
Likeee and love u AK
How was the smell passing the sewage station 🤢
There is actually no smell next to this sewage plant, unlike the one on Wards Island. 🤭
Starting to watch your video's. Johnny Strides told me about your channel.
There is a large and excellent back catalogue of videos to explore.
I love Johnny's videos too!
15:30 Alpe d’Huez in NYC
12:40 sit back and blaze one😆
Beautiful scenery and nice weather too!.
Looks beautiful there Ken and look at the sky wish I was there ♥️♥️♥️🗽🗽🗽
Hi! Action Kid! I love it when you narrate. Thank you. I truly enjoy your channel; I get to experience New York from the safety of my Ohio home. 😄
Thanks a lot, great video as all yours :-)
Bet everyone around you freaked out at 12:18..... :)
Lmao 😂 at 2:14, I see myself, my mom and her friend
AK is so popular now he can't help keep running into his fans.
Spotted!
This is one of those interesting videos that allows you to plan the next explorations. B [France)
