Cool interview. I am always impressed by Dimarzio as a company, every time I contact them they are always very helpful, unlike a lot of other companies. The mark of a great company is one that makes their customers feel like they are on their artist roster.

There are actually very few companies that I would really want to be endorsed by in a perfect world, but DiMarzio is definitely one of them. This guy's commitment to CREATIVITY in essentially all its forms - not just his specific, best-known niche - is pretty inspiring, I think. Long may he reign! lol

I've always believed DiMarzio has a better understanding of the natural character of the guitar as an instrument, where it sits in the range of musical instruments, and how to make guitar more dynamic for players. They're a very forward-looking company, but they also make very fine vintage models too. They are a truly pioneering company. I have no doubt that had Hendrix lived he would have been popping Super Distortions and other DiMarzios into his axes and would have had a DiMarzio signature set.
I like Dimarzio and Duncan. I use either on a case by case basis. I am building a Tele hollow-body/strat neck guitar. I CZcamsd the twang king set being demoed. I liked it so I bought the set for the guitar. I put an Area 58, area 67, and super distortion in a black strat. Sounds good. I have a yellow strat that has the YJM Fury Duncan pickups. Good as well. I will continue to use both. Case by case. Tone choice by tone choice. ✌️😎🎸

I VERY stoked to get my SATCHUR-8 pickup for my Jackson Pro Soloist SL2Q MAH Electric Guitar, Transparent Blue. It currently has a flat sounding SD T-6 mayhem in it and I do not like it. DiMarzio for me, are better singing intense pickups. Not bashing SD, they make great pups, but not for my situation. I really cannot wait to try it and check it out! Just wanted to say that I now have the SATCHUR8 in my Jackson, and wow, VERY nice! I highly recommend it! Thank Larry, Joe, and Dimarzio team, I love my new pickup!

Waiting on my new Nina Signature guitar and want to hear my sound on the new hurricane pick ups. They should have talked to Nina and Orianthi long ago. Kudos for giving women their long overdue place in the designing of a pick up. Count me in!

About 7 years ago I left a comment on Larry DiMarzio's CZcams page professing my love for DiMarzio pickups. I explained that every single one of my then 17 guitars, except for one, had DiMarzio pickups in them. I mentioned the one guitar I had that didn't have DiMarzio's had Bare Knuckle pickups. I don't know if it was him personally or his social media person but my comment was removed. That was petty and childish. Now all my 30+ guitars have Bare Knuckle and Duncan's in them.
wahwah1013 I've never tried to contact them, but I always rip the Dimarzio pickups out of my guitars that are loaded with them, re wind the bobbins and put them back in. Or replace them and put the Dimarzios into guitars i seldom play. I don't think theyd like to know about THAT.
Really sorry to hear that. Which BKPU would you recommend for a lead pickup that doesn’t bite your head off like an evolution?

Yes, absolutely. When we play acoustic guitar, the room (reverb) plays a part in the sound we hear. All piezos need a little reverb to help them sounding more natural. LOL, Mike likes a lot.
Check out a recent video I shot mixing the Black Angel magnetic & piezo, a DPA microphone and a Neumann. There's no reverb on the magnetic or piezo and I let the mics carry the room sound.
