Please see if your local hospital/doctors/vets need the masks! We're all struggling to get them through our suppliers so having to ration and re-use which can get icky real fast. There's no evidence they work to prevent coronavirus and supplies are needed for the health professions who are at constant risk of picking up/spreading other nasties
Are they telling people in the UK who've had direct contact with a virus carrier to self-isolate for one week only? That's so strange. Where I live, it's two weeks, and I haven't come across any quarantine times of less than two weeks on international media either.
Here its 7 days if you live alone and have symptoms, 14 for your whole household to see if they've caught it and make sure they get the full 7 days as well. He did 7 and has had no symptoms
They're only testing people in hospitals or people with obvious symptoms that are deteriorating / have underlying health conditions. Even doctors and nurses aren't able to get tested right now. He could be asymptomatic but taking into account the encounter itself and how long it's been he's passed the incubation period so should no longer be contagious
