Congratulations. I can't wait to see you out on the road in a proper adventure vehicle.
This continues to be an interesting project. Well done...and keep it up. Cheers. Ken
Warmer and a quiet ride as well.
Can’t wait to see the final results
came for the insulation, stayed for the Jays hat.
Coming along! What about putting in the window in on the other side? Not stepping out into traffic when getting out(Bed on the opposite side):
Spray foam insulation for the areas you can’t see/reach
Hi Henry, the white material, insulation, you are using on the side panels and doors i would leave it about 20-30mm off the bottom in case of condensation and water maybe. If that gets wett it will stay wet for a long time and rust will build up in that area, by the time you will notus it will be too late! Other than that keep going, good job.
Looking good, simple tip, put some duct tape on the end of a screwdriver when using it to pry off panels so it reduces the risk of scratches etc on the paint.
Going well there Henry looks great so far. I would suggest getting your cables in asap though. Our van has a smart alternator so we needed to get a Victron 30A DC to DC charger to charge our house leisure battery for the 12V USB chargers, and run off an invertor for 240v sockets.
We're just about to start to ply panel the inside of ours, and got some great Anthracite 4 way stretch carpet on ebay with Trimfix glue in a kit for the walls and roof.
Best of luck with everything.
lots of work, nice job. looks like a good place to grow weed lol
I’m tempted to give it ago myself…the freedom! Great job, can’t wait to see the end product!
have a butchers at Liam the Terrible on YT - builds some stellar vans
Having an angle between the needle and the point of your compass, ie needle up in the center, and the point down to ceiling, made the radius that much larger. If you do this again, messure from the middle as you did, and then out to the rim of the tube...
Great job love the use of the various insulation’s. Liked the under floor(laminate) insulation. I used it in my shed so I did not lose space.
It’s all coming along nicely. Looking forward to the next instalment!! Take care dear friend. Graham📸📸
Henry i would have the window on the nearside door especially if your going to be using it for getting in and out. and would give a better view when in lay-by's .
You would be a great addition to the A team Henry dude 😃 great stuff dude 👌
Coming along nicely. 👍🚐😎
Looking forward to the next video - coming along nicely.
Wonderful, I Love this video and the all mini camper idea.
You can consider to Buy a single storage bed where you can just lift up and below you have plenty of storage, will looks organized too
Excellent, love the energy and enthusiasm you bring to any of your posts, great watch and looking forward to seeing the finished result.
Good job crackin on with the insulating, Henry! 👍LOL @ 06:03; “ so if you’re like stuffing it in the corner,” just made me laugh for some reason? 😁😂 Yes, compressing insulation negates the R value of it! Blue Jay coming together, gonna be ‘toasty’ in their, especially with a good cup of hot tea! 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸📷🚙
Nice one, Henry, keeping your self busy. It will be worth it in the end.
Don’t forget to get yourself a winch also… always worth having one when you go off track even if a little off track.
Good strong battery and backup also.
Good on you buddy for making life more comfortable doing what to do best and love.
Great channel content 👌
This is really coming along nicely. It looks like its going to be a really nice mobile work room/office/sleeping area.
Looks like the van is coming along nicely Henry.
Look forward to seeing your next video.
That's coming along great!
It's all coming together now can't wait till its really finished
Hey Henry, not sure what type of insulation material you are using, but I would recommend some protective gear (glasses, a proper mask, and gloves) while handling the material. Otherwise, the progress is looking good! 👍🙂
It's recycled plastic bottles it's just like pillow filler
Good job! Take care
Good progress Henry, looking good.
The van is coming on good Henry, look forward to next week's video.
It looks like your conversion is going pretty well: you seem to be tackling the issues methodically and thinking things through. That (higher temperature) spray on glue seems a good choice because you're attaching to the metal shell of the van, and on the outside of that will be the sun. I think that even in England, in the summer, sun on metal will get quite hot.
Awesome progress Henry. Can’t wait to see the finished look :-)
Good bit of progress Henry and looking forward to the next instalment
Loving the van build Henry, roll on the next episode. I actually found you by accident when I was looking for tutorials on the Canon M50 Mkii which I have recently purchased ! So I`ve been watching your other vids with interest. My Pal Colin also follows you, and you sound fairly local to us, I`m just outside Preston ! Cheers Pal 😀
Love your videos anyway Henry and the van ones are good too.
Looking good👍
GREAT work mate !👍👊
Loving the content it's inspired me to get out more I'm in the lake district in June staying at windermere so ya looking forward to it 🙌
Henry, that thing is blue!
Coming along nicely! I don't think I would manage to do this all by myself!
Worth being careful filling all the cavities with the insulation. There are often vents and drain holes because moisture is expected to drain out, but your insulation can soak it all up and rot the metal from the inside.
Looking forward’s to seeing the finished beastie and how it works out for you; looks brilliant so far. Hmmm; the face mask you have on isn’t ideal to prevent inhalation of air born fibres Henry ‼️
Coming along eh? Great job! I hope that insulation you're using isn't highly flammable but no doubt you've checked that already.
I was thinking that myself. Polyester is not normally flame retardant but maybe they added something to the mix. It looks to be going well though Henry - good luck with the rest of the build
I'd love to do something like this but I struggle with insurance? When I try to insure a van I can only get cover for business use? Every comparison site seems to be the same? Any recommendations? I don't have a business so just want regular insurance like I would a car.
Sorry mate, can’t help with that 😞
Hi Henry. Highly recommend you fit some all season tyres (Michelin Crossclimate 2 for example) - for going up those snowy roads in the fells / Scotland etc. Need convincing? Watch this test from Tyre Reviews. czcams.com/video/2cgtmmtsqFA/video.html. I’ve just put some on my van and they are the muts!!
I hope you don't end up cooking yourself 😆
